Media is more and more fractured. Streaming gets more expensive. More and more deals spread games across a myriad number of platforms.

A few years ago I could watch every NFL game on DirecTV Sunday Ticket.

Now, I need YouTube, plus Amazon, plus the games that are blacked out on YouTube, plus even sometimes other streaming services like Paramount. And that's just for the NFL. I'm sure it's even more fractured for the NBA and we know if you want to watch Purdue basketball you need BTN, networks, Peacock, BTN+, and probably more.

I live in Tennessee so I can’t watch the Grizzlies at all. There is no option for me. Since that’s the only team I care about I just opt out of the rest.

The nba pushes Bronny James to be an nba player. They make his highlights from the G LEAGUE the first thing you see on their app. They caption “Bronny James with a slick layup” and then he has like 4 points on 2-11 shooting. Mathias just had 33 in a g league game but no mention of that on their app. They’ll also show a “block” in an nba game that Bronny has in mop up duty.

So that probably contributes on top of everything else ppl have said

some 'stars' palm the ball every time they have it. Basically if its an amazing looking play, swallow the whistle. Sick of highlights where the guy takes 4 steps to throw down his amazing dunk.
That said, the skill level is unreal.

I have/do watch the Pacers some, but overall with the NBA, I prefer basketball

The illegal streaming is definitely hurting them but that's their own fault.

People also don't like just seeing 40+ 3s being chucked a game. They don't like prima donnas. They don't like seeing dudes sitting because they are "tired" while getting paid 40, 50, 60mil. They don't like dudes traveling across the world getting to the bucket. NBA has a ton of problems, there just isn't anyone in the front office who has a brain or balls to fix it.

82 games, so none of them individually mean much until the playoffs start. And no one cares about or even understands the silly midseason NBA Cup.

Time for rule tweaks like MLB did

-address travel steps
-tighten fouls
-limit on 3’s per team?
Those aren't tweaks like MLB did. That's actually enforcing the rules that are there.

You couldn't possibly limit 3s per team.

MLB's tweaks aren't great IMO. I don't like banning the shift, I think the 3 pick-off limit is weak, and the runner on 2nd in extra innings is the dumbest thing this side of the new NFL kickoff rule.

Yeah, runner on 2nd is goofy, like kickoffs is odd

So yeah, NBA start enforcing rules, still like a cap on 3s, you can shoot them but only 2 points after 20 shots?
