Saw nba viewership plummeting, this year and consistently over the last 12 years

I imagine college has gone up

What turns off the eyeballs on pro BBall?

Lots of free streaming services that they probably can’t track and no one wants to keep paying such a high premium for not that great of a product

Different strokes for different folks, but IMO for at least the last 25 years the NBA is infinitely more “entertainment product” than an actual sport.

Media is more and more fractured. Streaming gets more expensive. More and more deals spread games across a myriad number of platforms.

A few years ago I could watch every NFL game on DirecTV Sunday Ticket.

Now, I need YouTube, plus Amazon, plus the games that are blacked out on YouTube, plus even sometimes other streaming services like Paramount. And that's just for the NFL. I'm sure it's even more fractured for the NBA and we know if you want to watch Purdue basketball you need BTN, networks, Peacock, BTN+, and probably more.

I live in Tennessee so I can’t watch the Grizzlies at all. There is no option for me. Since that’s the only team I care about I just opt out of the rest.
