This is one of those games that Painter is going to have to adjust and tweak the gameplan. Izzo does that as well as anyone. I am not sure if Painter has it in him.

Those fouls against Haas were huge. I thought he was going to have to play in the high 20's today b/c AJ was going to be exhausted. Gonna have to dig so deep to get this back in the 2nd half. Need to get cheap buckets and lucky breaks to get this one done.
michigan state's gameplan is based on getting purdue's bigs off the block and they are doing it.
purdue needs to go with edwards at the 4 and get hammons screening. mathias and pj need to be ready to catch and shoot and davis and edwards have to be slashing.

It is amazing how Purdue comes out looking almost bored in a championship game. They finally get to the stage and don't fight. Man I am really pissed off right now watching this. Unbelievable. The whole point to the season is to win this game and you get there and Purdue just begs the other team to stomp your face in and they are. What a joke! It is simply amazing to come out and play like a gaggle of losers in a title game. This is a death match and they come out like a bunch of chumps.

The team is fighting its just that fact that msu's defense is so stifling, Hammons is exhausted, and Haas has two fouls. I hope Painter makes offensive adjustments. Hammons can't carry this team in the 2nd half.
i think this game is going to come down to edwards and davis. both can get going easier with the smaller lineup. they need to get shots at the room to setup the outside shot. swanigan at the 5 might be a good change of pace.
