CMP deserves a lifetime contract.

As you said, that money goes acorss all sports, so at a minimum that $20.5M is split with football and potentially needs to be split with women's sports. If the $20.5M coming directly from the university coincides with greater controls around NIL collectives it's not clear to me whether the university funds are just additive or can potentially make for a more level playing field among P5 schools.
It is split with women’s sports. Not potentially.

Do you know how many scholarships are available for next year? I didn’t look it up. I could envision CMP choosing an athletic wing or another ball handler from the portal if they would fit our culture like Lance Jones did.

Is Painter still recruiting for next year? I didn’t see much activity. I hope I’m wrong because I favor recruiting over the portal.
Goes from 13 -> 15

Is it clear to you how material the impact of the split with women's sports will be? It's not clear to me.

This is intended to be revenue sharing, so if WBB players get the same share of WBB revenue as MBB players do of MBB revenue, for most schools the portion of the $20M going to WBB players is relatively immaterial. If the revenues are split on a different basis the impact could be much larger. I don't think they methodology has been decided but I could be wrong.

I have a very bad feeling certain schools will follow the title 9 guidelines while others will follow their own desires and will continue to do so until a court orders them to change. I also don’t see a solid court decision happening within the next 10 years. This will be appealed and repealed and delayed and repealed and judges will change , attorneys will change and there will be more appeals.

In the mean time, OSU and Alabama will give 80% to football. And Yale and Stanford will divide their money equally. In other words, I don’t expect much change any time soon.

What Title 9 guidelines?
