Do I think CMP is a great coach? No, he's a little above average IMO.
But mens basketball is the least of MBob's worries right now, so there's no use arguing about it.

Is it possible to have thread titles updated when a thread derails? Something like 'Carsen Edwards (now a CMP fight)' or 'Eastern (now positive attitude vs negative attitude)'. It will save people a lot of time...
Back on topic, Carsen really looks like a guy that will be a special player for Purdue because of his unique ability to be aggressive and attack the defense with strenght and athleticism. The fact is that the guy can also really shoot, even though they didn't fall yesterday (we saw it in high school and Spain) and looks like a hard worker with no fear.
I don't know how big his impact will be (but I guess pretty good, Big Ten All Freshmen Team type) but the skills and the right attitude are there to see.

My agenda is the same as yours. I want civil, substantive discussion without threads derailing like this one did.
When I saw what should have been a positive thread about CE, I scrolled up to see which post derailed it, thinking that it would be one of the serial complainers. What I saw was you calling them out by saying "Carsen shuts all of them up". Did you really think that wouldn't start a back and forth argument given who we are dealing with?
I appreciate your posts and that you are tired of the same annoying, repetitive complaining that I am. My comment was meant to be constructive. Sorry that it didn't read that way.

It seems that Carsen has grown since he first arrived on campus, and he seems to have a strong frame that will be able to handle some of the blows he will take in B1G play... He's ready for the spotlight already in my opinion.
There is no question that he can, but will he. His ability to score is controlled by Carsen. He can get his shot off and doesn't need help and so he can go against a lot of teams. However, that is not to say that he won't make mistakes or be off. This kid has a scorers mentality, decent quickness, decent athleticism, strong for his size. he will no doubt shoot a few that the fans say Oh $hit...and there will be other games they say only to follow up in a half a second with good shot. I'm not crowning him all world...just saying that "he" controls how good he gets as he has some tools

Well said. And I might add, no one is above criticism. Whether it should be non stop is the question.
