Carsen Edwards to Purdue

I hesitate to make the comparison because the IU folks will be all over it, but he reminds me a bit of Yogi. Seems fast and shifty, can drive when needed, and loves the 3-ball and can sink it. About the same size at around 6 feet as well. We will see if his high school game translates to the college level.

We could actually have 5 scoring threats on the court at the same time. That could keep opposing defenses honest. I look forward to seeing this kid on the court!

welcome Carsen, judging just from the videos, I had them rated Simpson, Edwards, Lucas. Seems like Edwards has the best outside shot, so I'm good w/ the get.

I remember all the talk about how Bryson was a Purdue type of blue collar player. So while I'm happy and excited, let's be honest in saying that Matt is pretty tough on PG. I could throw in Barlow as well into the mix of guys who went left when Matt asked them to go right.
I believe this is accurate. Coach Painter can be tough on PGs, especially when they don't do things the way he wants them done.

I thought the same thing but gave up the comparison when I did not see Carsen push off to get open!!!

He has the same bow-legged look as Yogi, eerily similar look.

After watching video, I love this commitment! He seems to play with a Lew Jack type swagger. Not saying he plays like Lew Jack, but he has that same pep in his step. He is clearly a better shooter than Lew Jack was, and I would say he has similar handles. He looks like a PG that we can trust to break a press, distribute, and knock down the open shot. I think he is a great fit!
