Might be a tough watch for all of you that insist Purdue didn’t get better at basically all positions and probably won’t look improved. They are raving about this team. Especially Card and the WR’s. Haven’t gotten to the defense in depth, but they seem to really like the secondary.

Best quote from the show.
“Big players beat up on smaller players.” CRW

As previously said. WRs are taller and faster. O Line is taller and bigger.
Gus said at B1G media day that last year he was the tallest person in the line, and the center should not be the tallest. This year that is not the case. We have some taller and bigger OTs.

And our DBs are faster and have long range. And we are deeper in quality at those positions.

This is a better team than last year. Even with the loss of Burks and Scourton.

The coaches have the players they want to run their schemes.
Those that say Purdue did not get better is not paying close attention to what is happening to this roster.

My favorite was Revsine saying this isn’t close to the worst team in the big ten and Griffiths laughing at Cleveland. Com poll and saying this team is going to sneak up on everyone.

I saw a tweet from Howard Griffith that was very complimentary: "It's definitely growth. The roster, without a doubt, is better."

I'm wondering if contractually, they couldn't have rearranged the schedule to add a few more cream puffs.
When you're a brand new HC and the team is in rebuilding mode, having a top 10 strength of schedule doesn't do you any favors.

Brohm wanted to play the best and this is the schedule he left. Doubt Purdue is going to buy out games already under contract.

Are you talking last year or this year? Same difference probably though.

You can't change the conference schedule. And you're not going to change Notre Dame.

Oregon State? With them getting shat upon by the rest of the PAC-whatever, and this being a return game, highly unlikely to be able to change that.

Then there's Indiana State. Lots of cream in that puff.

This is encouraging. It would be wonderful to have a few "Spoilermaker Specials" this season and continue to build off of those.

It sounds like Walters and the staff deserve a great deal of credit.

A few spoilermaker specials would probably mean a 8-9 win season. That would be amazing.
