Some word on street , he is trying for medical redshirt to get 1 more year and that Purdue has made some overtures to him if he gets the year. Lafayette boy, be interesting.
April fools joke I think. Some word on street , he is trying for medical redshirt to get 1 more year and that Purdue has made some overtures to him if he gets the year. Lafayette boy, be interesting.
I don't think he'd help much at all. Some word on street , he is trying for medical redshirt to get 1 more year and that Purdue has made some overtures to him if he gets the year. Lafayette boy, be interesting.
If he accepted the role to be the dirty work guy and wing defender and not mind his scoring dipping drastically, he’d be awesome.I don't think he'd help much at all.
Bingo….didn’t realize he only played like 70-80 minutes his freshman year. NCAA has given waivers for crazier things.Apparently, he does have a similar case to Luke Goode.
Not sure he has filed to try to get an extra year tho, but if Goode wins, then certainly Brooks would too.
he's a good complimentary player not a lead guy like he was at nw, I believe he'd blend well at PUBingo….didn’t realize he only played like 70-80 minutes his freshman year. NCAA has given waivers for crazier things.
Other point of interest - he and TKR are buddies.
It first materialized on the 1st apparently. Its April 4th. That nonsense is over.
I don’t see how Goode has a case at all. Medical redshirts are for season ending injuries. How do you give a medical redshirt to a guy who missed the beginning of the season but played at the end of the season? Then again, the NCAA will just get sued if they deny the waiver and end up allowing it anyway.Apparently, he does have a similar case to Luke Goode.

Agreed. But they roll over when they get sued so pretty sure that’s what he is hoping for.I don’t see how Goode has a case at all. Medical redshirts are for season ending injuries. you are wrong, exactly what we need at the 3.I don't think he'd help much at all.
💯 if he was willing to accept the do the dirty work role and guard the best guy on the other team and be ok with his scoring decreasing, I’m all for it.you are wrong, exactly what we need at the 3.
Tough kid and this team needs more of that.you are wrong, exactly what we need at the 3.
Not according to snap messages from Brooks.I was told by someone connected to Lafayette Jeff that his request for medical redshirt was denied. This person also told me if he ever did go to the transfer portal, Auburn would be the destination. His father and Bruce Pearl have a very good relationship.

Yeah if it happens somehow he could also help take pressure off Braden by being an extra ball handlerBrooks would honestly be a perfect fit as a 4th or 5th option. Good defender, can get to rim or hit open shot. Would honestly elevate ceiling if he gets extra eligibility and just wants to carve out role for contender in his last year.
It's probably a pipe dream, but would be cool if it happens. Would fit in immediately with team chemistry IMO.Yeah if it happens somehow he could also help take pressure off Braden by being an extra ball handler

The medical redshirt would be for his freshman year and he came back. Same as Goode. Only difference is brooks also had a season Ending injury this year. Both would be unlikely as they usually limit to I think 8 games (brooks played 11, Goode 10) and usually have to be in first half of season. But they must think they have a chance if they applied for the waiver.I don’t see how Goode has a case at all. Medical redshirts are for season ending injuries. They have a case for only playing 10% of the season. But what they won’t have a case for is the “season ending injury” part. Not sure how that will work out.The medical redshirt would be for his freshman year and he came back. Same as Goode. Only difference is brooks also had a season Ending injury this year. Agreed, but he certainly showed that his scoring game was stronger and more consistent than Colvin and Heide.....If he accepted the role to be the dirty work guy and wing defender and not mind his scoring dipping drastically, he’d be awesome.
BUT. It was an April fools joke and not happening
