Brohm to Baylor

If that's the case his "listening tour" is definitely about trying to leverage other programs for more moolah. That wouldn't make me a fan of his. Having said this, from what I understand, he isn't a political animal like a lot of coaches. Which seem to be contradictory.

If you are a professional anything, your job is to maximize your earning potential. You saying you do not like him trying to maximize his contract is so incredibly ridiculous.

You would do the exact same thing in your career if you could. It is business, makes him smart. I like smart, makes me like him more.

If nobody wants the damn job, then go get Briles with a zero tollerence (no buy-out) clause, and mainly performance based. We already blew our chance with Petrino because he had an affair. I bet no one in Louisville cares about that now, and they are winning.
Someone is going to get Briles. If we are considered the armpit of college football jobs, I say we get him.
Mitch would never risk that to his reputation. Starr's career was ruined. Even if Mitch is done with politics, he's never going to be done with trying to seem morally-inclined.

Having an affair is a far cry from promoting an environment on rape and sexual assault. Not unlike some jags trying to bump the PSU ginger, coward, POS who saw a child being raped and did nothing about it...oh wait...he reported it a day later.

That's just what we need -- protestors outside everyone of our games and journalists writing stories about us for hiring the coach that doesn't care about the safety of people's daughters. So not only will our program be in the tank talent-wise but we will also be social pariahs.

Brohm I think is a guy I'd consider. If he picks Baylor over Purdue I say let him leave. Baylor... Baylor be a sailor.

Someone out there will take the millions believe it. It just means Purdue needs to offer down the ranks and I say that's the best move. D1AA. These premadonna types think oh I won the Mac well congratulations here's 10 million. Not good enough for me. How about a guy who wins titles. It's the thinking. It's a philosophy. A question for interview. Have you ever coached a championship team at any level? If that answer is no time to go.

Plus as a coach he was what is known as a Mandatory Reporter. If he knew anything and failed to report he is criminally liable.

So we got our third choice behind fleck and miles. Still disappointing
Miles would have been a disaster. Old, used up, has-been. Requires top shelf talent at SEC academic levels to win 8 games. Ugh!

Fleck flash in the pan. Might have worked okay, but the WKU guy has better credentials. Don't think he is choice #3. Bet he was always in the top shelf choices.

Don't waste your time with that troll.

Who's third choice? Yours? I love how our boards do this. Whatever name is first mentioned by any media moron becomes Purdues first choice without question. Miles. Seriously. Thank God that didn't happen.

Not trolling, just look at what was reported from the beginning. Miles was mentioned first, then fleck was a certainty, and then when they couldn't get them, theyou went after this guy. I hope he does great things, but he was the third choice

Book it! Once again Purdue is left looking like a fool. We will never be good again. Current administration is no better than the last. We are screwed. At least tickets will be cheap. Can't wait to hear everyone call me a troll for telling it like it is.

Troll.

You can't base order of preference on the media and this board. Well you can, but you will just look kinda stupid. Miles even being mentioned early on was based solely on him being recently fired. Assuming Purdue talked to him at all, of course that would happen early, he had no job! He was instantly available for discussion. That doesn't mean he was first choice or second choice or tenth. Fleck is a fun, quirky, high energy motivator and he would also be a good hire. Those characteristics made him the medias first mention for every open job out there. Doesn't mean no one else is any good.

Troll. You really should just stop while you're behind you troll. You have zero credibility here.

Your initial complaint was about missing out on Brohm, and then when we DO get him he is somehow 3rd choice? Between Brohm, Miles and Fleck only one of them was actually given an offer.

If you're really a Purdue fan, step in from the rain and enjoy the feel-good vibes resonating throughout the program right now, and the positive press we've gotten from talking heads who have traditionally dismissed us.

Might at least see how it plays out before drawing the worst conclusions. I agree that Brohm interviewing with Baylor could be worrisome but they have problems of their own.

Baylor has moved on to the Arkansas State HC as their next target...but even now that seems to have hit a snag.
