Bright spot

Realism isn't allowed here. Nice and accurate post regardless

The negatives like cpr, nag and NashvilleBoiler are all glad we lost right now.

Our guard play is vastly improved from last year. Just need Vince to break out of his slump and play like he has before this year and we'll be okay. A lot of games left to play.
I've been pleased with our guards. I like the increased aggressiveness of PJ and Mathias, and I love what CE brings. I'd like to see them have to defer to Haas less.

I don't know what it's gonna take to wake Edwards up, he is playing like he is scared

His mouthpiece lost its flavor on the bedpost ovenight, threw his whole game off.

Improved how? Defensively? PJ has become an outside shooting threat. Mathias has not given us a whole lot.

People need to realize that while Vince is skilled for his size, he's not elite in any factor of his game. He's not great at putting it on the floor. He's not explosive or quick. He's an average passer. He's an average ball handler. His best trait is shooting a spot up jumper.
He's not quick enough or explosive enough to be am elite 3 man. His skill as a 4 man against other 4 man before Swanigan came was when he shined more.

Our offense should be a pick and roll with CEdwards and Biggie on every play and let Mathias/Cline/Vince just spread out and camp on the 3 line and make defenses decide if they want to help on the PNR or take their chances in stopping Carsen and Biggie in a 2 man game. The 3 man weave up top offense is simply a shot clock waster and leads to bad shots late in the possession....and if we aren't hitting 3's, our offense doesn't work at all...and that is bad coaching.

Vince aint coming out of that shell anytime soon I'm afraid. He looks like a lost puppy. Plays soft and plays slow like he's afraid to make a mistake. It's pathetic how weak he looks

This may be the most accurate thing that has ever been said on this board.

You really haven't watched one game this season have you.
Three. Nova, NJIT, Louisville. My early takeaway is PJ improved his outside shooting. Also with Carsen we have a guy who can finally break a press, but he may miss a shot after doing so. I don't see the trademark Purdue D.

With the rule changes you won't see that trademark D I don't think ever again.
