Brian Kelly to LSU?

Interim or for real? I just read that Kelly wants to bring Freeman and Rees to LSU. Also read that ND wasn't even planning on naming an interim coach. Confusing at the moment.
No way he gets named the permanent HC right now… that hardly ever works out in the long run, with Helton being the most recent example.

This piece speaks to how classless this guy is:

He has always been an a$$...it is in part why he fit in at ND.

He is as fake as there is...and, has shown that now to everyone finally.

I would say that I would root for him to fail, but, I don't think that I even have to...and, unfortunately, even if he does, he still makes out incredibly from a financial standpoint.

Right, confusing for sure. I could see Freeman going to LSU if he isn’t promoted.

Hopefully no one at ND is too butt hurt over this, since this is exactly what they enticed him to do to Cincinnati.

It’s really a shame these guys have so little integrity when they sign those contracts. These contracts today are totally worthless to the institutions which issue them in good faith. These coaches act like whores to the highest bidder when someone else comes calling. The whole landscape of college sports is unraveling before our eyes on many different fronts.

From what I've seen is their organization lacks a comprehensive vision and strategy. Always chasing the Packers and trying to 'win now' with flawed rosters. Often mortgaging their future, trading draft capital, chasing QB's (on a franchise that has never produced elite QB play) and big splash free agents .
This is what happens when owners think they know more than the football minds that they hire. If you do it right in the first place, it won't need patched later. The Packers will always be a better team.
