It was part of the economic engine of the time. It was not seen as a moral or ethical issue.
In 200 years, people might look back at today's economy and thinks it's immoral or unethical to be able to get rich trading in stocks or crypto.

I still do not know why you keep bringing up Kamala Harris' slave owning ancestors who were white and Irish. You act like it's breaking news. We all in this forum have the potential of ancestors owning slaves including myself. So what is your stupid point you are trying to make.
I know that you never heard of this black woman named Angela Davis. She was one of those Black Panther'ish civil rights activists in the 60s and 70s. She had white ancestors that owned slaves. So now what?

White folks have been saying that about black folks since the inception of this country. You are too intellectually deficient to understand that affirmative action or now DEI says the opposite. Give blacks and other minorities that have the brains and work ethic an equal chance to compete in the work place or education that otherwise would have been over looked by the status quo of whites over looking these individuals.
So, you don't think your buddy Justice Clarence Thomas or Dr. Ben Carson should have gotten into Yale because of affirmative action? Should they give back their Yale degree?

Kimberly Cheatle was a white woman in charge of the secret service appointed by Biden in 2022. She worked for Pepsi before being hired. Prior to Pepsi she worked for the secret service.
I've heard audio, but have not seen video of Sharpton howling at the moon as a result of equality rather than favoritism. Also the other rent a riot, Jesse Jackson...not heard a thing, but sure there has to be something out there so they can keep the cash cow going.

Every circumstance is different. Sometimes things will go wrong no matter how much preparation is planned. Others times like when Trump was shot, it was a lack of preparation and communication. People are fired when things get “jacked up”.
So John Simpson could not of prepared differently to prevent Reagan from getting almost kilt.
