Look Dip sht, what I posted is my brother in law saw, on a news station in Michigan, truck loads of the wall going down the road.I'm not questioning whether the steel was still good or not. My experience is less than yours but I know it wasn't damaged sitting outside and rusting. I'm questioning using his brother in law's statement about what some local news said and using that to argue the networks apparently think the American people are stupid. Who cares what they said? There's plenty of national sources. The government made statements about it. It's just a reach to bash the media.
The outlet said the Government sold them for pennies on the dollar because the pipe was to deteriorated to use.
So what exactly are you questioning about his statement.
And I'm also a semi-retired engineer, I'm the tired part just not quite the re yet.
That particular steel is designed to rust/oxidize on the outside. So most people may not know this.
So I'll re phrase my take that Networks think the American public are stupid.
The Networks are lazy, don't research the story or facts and present their opinions only, or they just presented a narrative that they were told to by their government contacts.
