I'm not questioning whether the steel was still good or not. My experience is less than yours but I know it wasn't damaged sitting outside and rusting. I'm questioning using his brother in law's statement about what some local news said and using that to argue the networks apparently think the American people are stupid. Who cares what they said? There's plenty of national sources. The government made statements about it. It's just a reach to bash the media.

Look Dip sht, what I posted is my brother in law saw, on a news station in Michigan, truck loads of the wall going down the road.
The outlet said the Government sold them for pennies on the dollar because the pipe was to deteriorated to use.
So what exactly are you questioning about his statement.
And I'm also a semi-retired engineer, I'm the tired part just not quite the re yet.
That particular steel is designed to rust/oxidize on the outside. So most people may not know this.

So I'll re phrase my take that Networks think the American public are stupid.
The Networks are lazy, don't research the story or facts and present their opinions only, or they just presented a narrative that they were told to by their government contacts.

You argue that the J6ers should have been shot because they were attacking a federal building........implying you understand they were deserving of more serious treatment because it was FEDERAL, not local, and forcefully breaking into a federal building is much more serious than looting in a local protest. Not to mention the J6ers were trying to interrupt a government proceeding.......namely, the certification of an election. What are you saying exactly? Unless you think protestors should be shot as well you're talking out both sides of your mouth.

I agree, you do not understand. The analogy that I gave (and which you ignore) is the Secret Service protection of the White House. Their job is to protect the building and its occupants. Those 24 intruders who were shot or tackled at the White House didn't even get into the building. They were taken down on the lawn.

The Capitol Police should have kept the protesters out at all costs. Instead, we have video proof that the CP were escorting some of them through the Capitol Building and chatting with them. So show me a manager of a looted, burned Walmart who chatted with BLM rioters in his store.

Put the Re in the tired. It's a great way to be. I did it during Covid and love playing golf, reading, traveling, sleeping in, and basically what ever and whenever I want to do it.

The plan was to wait 2 more years so I could qualify for PERF (an extra income) and keep busy while she was still working. I have just shy of 2 years to go to get my PERF. I'm done working after that. If I can make it that long lol. We are fine financially. She could retire at 58 so we could travel. We'd have to pick up Health insurance for her way.
