Bloughs thoughts...

Put me in Coach, I’m ready to play, today, look at me, I can be...

Only issue between him and the other guy is he throws a soft interceptable ball. Sindelar had had three int dropped the last two weeks. 2/3 absolute gimmies.

Just because you're white and from Texas doesn't mean you're at all comparable to Drew Brees in anything that translates to winning football games.

He's playing scared for that reason scared to make a mistake cuz he'll get pulled anytime you're on the field playing like that you might as well go sit yourself down

Its hard to be thrown into a game and perform right away, but with Bloughs experience, he should have been ready

Totally agree...
He had ball on 20 yard line 1st down. Went in there had wide open receivers all over couldn't even get a pass off. In that case he's gotta make something happen. I like his being able to run, but at QB it's always gotta be pass first. No way no how a sack can be tolerated, at worst throw ball away so we get a field goal. That field goal happens Purdue just might of walked away with this game. Wisconsin was totally on the ropes after that 1st quarter. They had nothing left. Purdue's defense held Wisconsin to 3 points through 3 straight quarters. The offense blew this game playing terrible. The offense should be ashamed. They let one get by playing with almost next to no intensity within little exception.

Mostly nonsense about the intensity, but then again, you are welcome to your opinion. I just don't think anyone who watched the game would agree with it.

He had 2 wide open guys on 1st down and didn't hit either.

Time to grab some bench and watch Sindelar do 4-2 th rest of the way in

I Diasagree with you. Had 2 wide open guys early and shelled down and took a sack.

As soon as Dave makes one mistake he's pulled from the game immediately that's the only thing I don't like
He's thrown some horrendous picks this season, including last week. You can't predetermine who you're going to throw to against decent to excellent defenses and get away with it. Blough has a bad habit of doing this and Brohm cannot stand that. Plus, his arm strength is not as good as Sindelar's. Sindelar is slower at making reads and isn't as accurate.

I can see why Brohm hasn't made the call of one QB over the other. Neither is really what he wants back there and neither has shown he should be "the guy" definitively.

I will say the same thing I stated earlier, Blough has had more game experience and should have a shorter leash, Sindelar needs both practice and game reps to see his true ceiling! I think we all trust the Coaches so this is NOT any indication of what they should or will do, just an observation!

I was mostly disagreeing with the "intensity" remark. I saw lots of intensity and enthusiasm on the team.

Yes, there were plays where the QB was conservative and ducked. Under pressure is a sure way to thrown interceptions. I am sure the coach lectured both QB's on being more cautious, and only throwing when they had time. However, I was yelling at the TV also!

Blough had running lanes each time and instead took the sack instead of extending the play!

As an earlier poster commented, it is obvious to me that Blough is on a "short leash". Brohm will not tolerate his mistakes any longer and it appears coach may have settled on Sindelar after yesterday. Its a shame because, Blough has lost his confidence and now plays tentative. Clearly Brohm has stressed standing tall in pocket and stepping up under defensive pressure but if receivers are unable to separate, David no longer is willing to make contested throws. Despite an inate ability to scramble, he seems reluctant to. One of his strengths has always been his ability to run and "make something positive out of nothing" Brohm has not put Blough in a position to be successful in my view since the Mizzou game. He rarely is given an opportunity to roll out on pass/run option. No waggles,no bootlegs and most of the throwbacks are simple dumpoff screens.

I think the Minnesota game was close to the last straw. Brohm will not tolerate those poor reads. Blough constantly throws into tight coverage after locking onto receivers. That's a recipe for picks....

Yeah but we're seeing poor reads from the other quarterback to and he's not taking him out. Honestly Dave's done on this team he might as well go ahead and try to transfer if he can

You don't know D. Blough. He will continue to work and get healthy for his teammates and the staff. This transfere stuff is over for now.

He played three plays Saturday one of the sacks was on him but the other one was not and he got yanked right away. That definitely shows the coach has no confidence in him so it'd be best for them to part ways.

And you think Brohm has confidence in a kid with 155 yards on 29 passing attempts?

I don't understand this campaign to try to get Blough to transfer. It's very poor taste.

You have no idea what Brohm is thinking. Is it okay to speculate on an internet forum? Yes, but lobbying for him to transfer goes way over the line.

I'm just saying for a business standpoint it makes sense cuz he's never going to see the field again and he's too competitive to sit on the sidelines

The kid likes to play he wants to be the starter it's clear that he's not going to be so what's wrong with saying he should transfer. Do you remember the last quarterback that transferred from here same situation

Going over the line is saying he sucks he's worthless which I didn't say any of that I think he's a good player his confidence is just probably at an all-time low now that's why I change of scenery would be good for him

no, going over the line is lobbying for a transfer in the middle of a contested QB battle, in which the one you're advocating does not have very good stats.
