Biggie

I think he is smart not to hire an agent as his guardian can probably get him a lot of info on that; even though Roosevelt may not have any NBA clients, he will have access to people who do who can give him advice off the record to help in the decision. A unique situation.

If he is a lock to go 1st round you have to go. Guaranteed $3 million dollars on 3 years. If he is iffy, it is iffy. 2nd round could be D League, travel around, 10 day contracts. If he is a lock for late first, the risk is pretty good to be a lottery pick. Even if he were to move up 10 spots it would be $1.5-$2 mil guaranteed more. But an injury or bad season could cost $3 mil.

Is Biggie still on campus and attending class? The answer to those questions may give us some POSSIBLE insight.

Ya know...if biggie could improve as much next year I would say stay, but I have no reason to suspect that. he may or may not have reached pretty close to his physical peak...I just don't know. Number wise though...males tend to mature physically until 29 and so if he is "average" in his physical maturity timeline...he very easily could improve physically and become more athletic and explosive...but no matter what he does i can't see him having the board numbers like this year...as there were a few times players deferred to him to get the board a few times in a few games. Whatever he does...I hope it works out the best for him.

Good thoughts. I've assumed all along he's going, and I still think he is.

But he's young. He has improved a great deal already, but I think his ceiling might be higher than what we have previously believed. His vertical is currently twenty-nine inches. What happens if he works like crazy, sheds even more weight, and gains more agility? He could go from a borderline first to a lottery pick. That's not nearly as impossible as some think it is.

Well, a concentric circle will be completed, if and when Biggie comes back.

Like others pointed out, Biggie is still young and can improve his explosiveness.
He can be as dominant as Big Dog with additional year to get us to the wonderland.

We also can find a 5* forward on our lap, a definite long shot, but possible.
This can be a weird situation at Purdue,
Voila, what have we got with all newcomers and returning supporting casts.

This can be real fun.
Let's think big, for Biggie and Purdue.

We can dream big, yes?

It's humorous how offended people get when you suggest he could come back. It's like you're upset for finding a reason he could return.

I think a lot will depend on the combine. He had a very poor showing last year and really exposed some of his weaknesses - a lot of people on here thought he was gone prior to the combine. If he does well and maintains his current standing, I'd expect him to leave. If he slips into that second round, who knows.

He is doing ALL the right things in declaring without signing with an agent and in his own words seeing if the stars align....my guess is that means if he will be a first round pick or not to get that guaranteed BIG money. He has always put a lot of hard thought and deep thinking into his decisions and I believe he is continuing to do that with this one!

Just as a comparison, just saw Austin Appleby's vertical at pro day was 30 inches.
