Big win for Purdue. They really looked good tonight. Brohm has really done a great job. How would you compare this win?
Haze never beat an FBS team that finished with a winning record. Ohio will probably finish on the plus side of .500.
Tonight was might have been the biggest win for the program since Danny Hope's last game when Purdue beat Indiana to become bowl eligible.
That was in November 2012.
Purdue football, like many things in life, need be viewed relative to the times. Would this win have been "big" when I was in school '66 to '70? No, I am sure it would not. However, given the state of the program recently, today it is a "big" win. Hopefully this season continues to be a turning point toward a return to being a respectable and successful program. And if things continue to unfold as they seem to be now, in a couple of years once again everyone will be able to agree that this kind of win is no longer of consequence.I am happy with how the team is playing, but when beating a MAC team at home is considered a big win, you have problems. This game went how it should go, but Purdue fans have been down so long, a sound win against any team feels so good. Usually a big win is beating a ranked team or a team you were not favored against. Probably have to go 2-2 over our next 4 games and two of those teams are top 10 teams, will not be easy. Keep it rolling boys! Feels so good to have a coaching staff that knows what they are doing, that is for sure.

No..Kansas has that distinction. We have been the worst Power 5 team for the past 2-3 years. This a great step in the right direction. I have actually watched 8 quarters of football in the last two weeks. I probably didn't watch that much last year.
We need to keep the momentum, and recognize that there will be ups and downs this year.
The entertainment value for me and my focus on Purdue has increased exponentially

Well stated. It was a MAC team which PU should beat every time.I am happy with how the team is playing, but when beating a MAC team at home is considered a big win, you have problems. And this is a MAC team that returned a lot of players from a team that in the previous year beat Kansas @ Kansas 37-21, had Tennessee down late in the fourth (if memory serves me right) at Tenn, and nearly beat WMU in the MAC Championship Game. They aren't going to wow anyone with incredible athleticism which some times hurts them against the better teams like Kansas, Purdue, Tennessee...but they don't make a lot of mistakes either. This was a game that in previous years Purdue would have struggled because of the massive amounts of mistakes and poor preparation would cause....and you saw a definitive improvement from Week 1 to Week 2 on the things that hurt Purdue against Louisville (Special Teams coverage, turnovers, poor decisions by kick off returners). My guess is the drops by WR's and a few other things will be cleaned up and the rest will continue to be refined to create a team that will maximize the potential it has every single week.Completely agree. Don't want to be Debbie-Downer, but this is MAC school. I was very pumped to see us beat them soundly, but this would have been a "bad loss" more than the "great win" we are making it. That being said, let's ride the momentum and beat Missouri !! Then, I will be doing cartwheels. Boiler Up !!
