First of all, I've been to a few Purdue games that took place in Indy. From the loss to Texas at the dome to the nit loss against Florida at MSA. The John Wooden Classic to the Big Ten Tournament. This was the best Purdue crowd I can ever recall. The fan noise was game changing. It definitely helped put Purdue in position to win the game, and I can't recall that ever happening before in Indy.
Secondly, Swanigan!! He'll make you love him and hate him in the same game. That was a terrible shot for him to take at the end of the game. For those who say they love it because he has the guts to take it, I say bs. You can get that shot anytime. If they would of ran the offense who knows what could of happened. Also, he burnt our last timeout when he had teammates to give the ball to when he went to the ground. Painter has given him tons of lead way in the hopes he would of out grown some of these poor decisions, and in a lot of respects he has.
Lastly, this team has what it takes to make a long run in the tournament. I recall Purdue with #1 seeds that I had a lot less confidence in. They just need to take care of the ball, and value each possession. They can win this. This could be their year.
