Obviously we need to take care of business against Nebraska. That is first and foremost. But a few other things can help Purdue.
We need Wisconsin to beat Illinois. Illinois has a better resume than us right now and a win at Wisconsin goes along way toward getting them a bid. It would also put us 2 games up on Illinois should we beat Nebraska as well.
It would be great if Northwestern could break through at home against Iowa. It would be another bad loss for Iowa (after losing at home to Minnesota earlier this week) and would be very harmful to their tourney hopes. And would put us 2 1/2 games up on Iowa if we beat Nebraska.
Outside of my disdain for all things IU, I'm a little torn on the benefit of a Minnesota win in Bloomingtucky. I think IU needs to falter substantially down the stretch to be left out and I'm not sure their schedule sets up for that to occur. On the flip side, Minnesota has won 4 out off 5 and their RPI is up to 74. Their worst loss is @ RPI 106 Nebraska and wins at Iowa and IU would be better than any wins Purdue currently has. On the flip side, wins by Purdue and Minnesota would put us 2 games up on IU with 5 to play.
