Better NBA career, Zach of Clingan?

If your point is that Clingan's NBA career will be no better than Laetner's I completely agree. That was not easy to ascertain from your initial post. For DC to play a meaningful role in the league for over a decade would be a win for him and the team that selects him.
Any expectations that Laettner would be a franchise player were probably unfair. That 1992 draft had two stars and a bunch of good players. I'm not sure this year's draft has any sure stars/franchise players. If Clingan goes in the top five the expectations for him will likely be unrealistic.

In this post I’ve said more than once that I thought Edey would have the better NBA. Career! I also explained my reasoning. So you don’t like my logic or reasoning. We came to the same conclusion, didn’t we? So why do you feel compelled to argue? In mathematics. Sometimes people work backwards to solve a problem. Sometimes people use an indirect proof. What does it matter how people reach a result of an answer as long as they reach the right answer?
So let me repeat. And summarize.

Talked to 3 UCONN fans this week and all like Edey’s NBA prospects better than Clingans. One was generally negative about Clingan, one was positive and one was very positive. The very positive one on Clingan was the most effusive that Edey would be better and eventually an All Star.
Most people are bought in that Edey is damn special. Will be fun to see how it plays out.

If i being honest. i want this whole draft class to succeed and perform amazingly to prove everyone wrong. zach will be better offensively and donovan will be better defensively.
I hope both succeed. To get here, work ethic, skill, competitiveness is out of question. At the end, luck matters.
