I think the first two to garner time will be Berg and Furst. Jacobsen will play as well due to ability to protect the rim. Not sure about Burgess as word coming out is he’s been very good thus far but will he come in off the bench or redshirt? Paint said likely a 8-9 man rotation with possibly 10 at most. That leaves the rest as scout team players and only playing at the end of big margin games.

Maybe so, but in reality MOST red shirts involve a guy that isnt' quite ready to see the floor. Whether physical development or skills, there's usually a reason. When you have a Big that has the body and the skills to help right now, you don't usually put a shirt on those guys. We are "deep" up front, but we don't know how good yet.

True. However, here’s a shocker, Painter actually recruits guys that buy in the system and the overall program. Hence why I also believe PAinter doesn’t focus on the portal for multiple recruits. Rather players who again buy into the system and can fill an immediate need.

Didn't Burgess have a broken foot his senior year? That might have started the whole redshirt rumor.
I don't think many (any?) expected him to be a potential factor THIS season. If he is ready, then you gotta play that hand if it gets dealt.

Believe it was his junior year and ppl backed off but we got a good one… kinda like what happened to Heide. Burgess was pretty good his senior year last year. Saw a highlight where he grabbed a board, went coast to coast and dunked it on a guy. And then in the same game saw him drain a 3 and use a little hook shot.
