Be safe if you are headed to Indy today

I was supposed to go from Cincinnati to my in-laws near Rensellaer today and think I'm cancelling. I'm hearing that parts of I-65 are closed and people have been stuck for 8-10 hours.
Keep checking. It's warmer and raining in Indy. Turning it into slush or just wet roads. Maybe that's moving north?
Just re-read your post and saw in laws. Maybe you could get stuck in Indy, unable to go farther north due to weather and just have to go to the game at bankers life.

Hmmmm....sounds interesting. I think later today will be good but I'm hearing 3-8 inches of snow up there tonight.

Don't know how it is now but I spent 3 hours in a complete standstill on 865 in Indy last night. Only reason I escaped was by driving on the shoulder to a u-turn spot. The roads were the worst I've ever seen and there was zero pretreatment by the salt Trucks. Basically the entire Indy interstate system was closed. It's supposed to be warmer this morning and I'm sure the salt trucks have made the rounds so hopefully it's much better now.

Safe travels to all on the roads today....and for those going to Indianapolis for the game, hope you can arrive without too much difficulty and enjoy the festivities.

Chan 8 is still showing much of 465 on the North and West closed. The South and South west opened about 30 minutes ago. Many people stopped since 11:30 last night. The salt trucks can't get the roads better because the cars are stuck for miles.

500+ accidents

bummed but officially did not make the trip either.
looks like the high is only ~33 right now, rather than the original 46 i saw.
might be a repeat of last nights traffic after the iu game is over as well.

hopefully the team made it down yesterday, i would assume.
