[Purdue Grad in Texas]

Thought the Boilers might fall more than six spots after two losses, but they were to ranked teams (one on the road).

Five conference teams still ranked:

Michigan (12)
Purdue (13)

A decent finish is probably a 3 seed.

Yeah, way too much is made about dropping after one loss, to a good team at that. Yeah, no doubt this team has to play better than it did last week, but they can. Other teams are going to lose too between now and the Selections.

13 in the NET rankings. Solid 3-4 seed is most likely outcome, but as others have said, more games to come with opportunities to move up or down.

I don't like the B1G tournament, but if we're in it would like us to win it. Need to be careful or we could lose that double bye

None of that. Too many people are just too negative based on a loss or two without the understanding that other teams are losing too.

My problem is that too many of the teams that beat Purdue (Auburn and Michigan excepted) are a collective bucket of warm spit right now….

Yeah, it's really just Penn State and to a lesser extent OSU that aren't holding up. And even the home loss to OSU is still a Q1 loss at the moment.

Someone posted Kansas’ record the couple of season before Dickinson and the seasons with him. Major drop off in wins.

I think Self and the rest of Kansas will be glad when he is gone. Perhaps focusing on player development will be a focus again for them 🤷🏻‍♂️

And historically the 6 seed was easier to beat than the 7 seed. A lot of 7 seeds have pulled off more upsets than 6 seeds..

I believe there is too much dreaming about the ncaa tournament. Nobody cares about conferences anymore. All people care about are Ken Pom Pom ratings and quad wins and losses. Nobody cares if the game is a conference or non conference game anymore. It’s just a game. Why do conferences even exist any more? We brag more about beating Alabama than we do IU. Forget the cannon and the axe and all the conference rivalries! We must have quad 1 wins!

Looking at the schedule, Purdue only has 1 easy game left - Washington. And then they have the Big10 tournament. They still have a chance to climb back to a 2 seed. But if they continue to play like they did the last 2 games, they will slide to around 4-6 seed.

The objective people in this forum know Purdue didn’t lose to Michigan because of the fouls. Purdue basically gave that game away. As for Wisconsin, Purdue had no energy or defense the entire game.

MSU will be a tough game and IU is always tough against Purdue. I hate to say it, but those are both must win games. The Washington game is also a must win game.

The Big10 tournament will go a long way to determine Purdue’s ncaa seeding. An early exit will mean a much lower seed than expected.

Don’t blame the refs. Purdue knows what it needs to do! Just win out and the #2 seed awaits!

The reason the Alabama win is much bigger than the IU win should be pretty obvious to anyone this year. Just think about it for a little bit........

There isn't a huge difference in a #2 or #3 seed. But there is a slightly better chance to win the title from the 2 over the 3. Those slight differences mean something.
