I'm thinking about driving up from Memphis to see the Boilers play in Louisville on the 30th. Is anyone else planning on going? Any recommendations on where I should get seats so I'm near other Boilers?

Me my son and my dad. My daughter is a Purdue grad and lives in the ville. My son said not a bad seat in there but we got our tickets through Purdue ticket office. By the way my son is a senior at IU but says he is even a bigger Purdue fan now if that is possible. He loves the school but hates the fan base.

Purdue bachelors and Louisville masters, originally from The Region and have lived in Louisville for 29 years. I'll be there in the old gold and black pulling hard for the Boilers!

Myself and 3 of my friends will be there. We made the drive to Pitt last year for the ACC/B1G challenge and we had a blast. We are making it a tradition. I hope we can cap it off with celebratory drinks on campus after the game just like last year!

Just FYI...YUM Center is not on/near Louisville's campus. It's in downtown Louisville. A few good drinking spots nearby. The Troll Pub is almost next door and not bad.

The Purdue alumni club from Jeff/New Albany is meeting at the Champion Sports Bar on W Jefferson st, looks like that's 2-3 blocks south of the Yum Center.

I will probably be attending, if anyone would like to say hello I'd be more than happy to chat! (Sadly can't go to a bar for a couple more years :oops:)

My son lives just outside of Louisville and just yesterday scored two tickets in Section 116 (I know nothing about this arena; are those good seats?). This will be the first time I have ever seen the Boilers play live anywhere other than Mackey.

Moose, I would say those are good seats, but that's just me.....enjoy the game with your son. Go Boilers!

Thank your son profusely! Those are mid-court section, lower level. Can't get any better.

Holy crap! I hope I heard the number right. I though he said it was in the corner though, behind the visitor's bench (but it was definitely a 100-something section); looking at that seating chart, I'm wondering if maybe it was section 113 instead...

Either way, I can't wait! Driving from the STL area Wed. afternoon.

Boiler UP!

I live in Louisville but sadly won't be attending;

The arena is probably one the nicest venues in the country-not really a bad seat in the house. Although the closer you are the better the game is just like any arena. There are plenty of places to hang before or during the game-

BBC is a local brewery and right across the street-great beer selection and food, this place will be packed.

O'Sheas Irish Pub is block over, another good place prior to the game. Down one Bourbon Bar will have any whiskey or bourbon your heart fancies-over 200 in stock

Champions (Inside the Marriott) is 3 blocks away and is your typical hotel sports bar, high prices, decent seating.

Troll Pub under the bridge is probably my fav of them all-very cool place, decent prices and lots of room. 3 different bars in the building
