Talked to the mid-year WR today for the story I'm working on for our recruiting magazine. Figured I'd get his thoughts on Purdue's QBs, too, considering he has a bit of a unique perspective just having met them and starting to catch balls from them.

There's no structured work right now, but the QBs will get the WRs together to throw at times.

I just asked him what he thought of the guys.

"They're pretty good. Right now, it seems that the battle is between Austin and Danny. Austin is a hard worker. I always see him in the weight room doing extra workouts.

"Danny, I believe is more talented, but that doesn't mean he doesn't work hard. I see him, too.

"David is a redshirt freshman. I really like the relationship I have with him and I see him a lot putting in some work with Austin Appleby.

"Those three quarterbacks are good. It's going to be live during the camp. I like it.

"Elijah, he's still working with his knee but he's been cleared to throw, and I call him 'cannon' because he's got a cannon."
