That was a great win last night and way to go CMP on out coaching the crybaby Izzo! Every time msu made an adjustment, CMP made another and just created havoc for any type of comeback they tried to muster.

This game is yet another example of proving the negatwitts wrong. Congrats to CMP for not only being successful and a great coach by all standards, but effectively shutting the doubters up time and time again. Kind of like how Biggie shut the msu crowd up last night.

What a great game by our Boilers!!! Nothing better than beating Izzo at East Lansing despite his constant yelling, screaming and crying to the officials to get his standard homer calls. Listening to Cliz (over Dakich) pointing out all the Izzo crying sessions was fun as well. Now on to getting the 2nd of 5 check marks in Lincoln. Go Boilers!!!

Painter has definitely disappointing me in recruiting quite a bit over the years, and had some poorly coached games. But he has had some very well coached games too, and I think last night's was one of his absolute best. The lineup combos he used at various times were perfect. Team was ready, confident, motivated. MSU played really well last night and was on fire from three, and we overcame it. Painter also now has a McD's AA under his belt who is blowing up with publicity due to his incredible double-double numbers, and this is just huge for Purdue right now. Painter does learn things as the years go by, and I think he is getting better. With Izzo aging, maybe Painter can turn a corner and start winning some more of these Swanigan-type recruiting battles and get us to the next level. I would personally rather take my chances with Painter for the next five years than gamble on a new hire.

I don't think there is any doubt that was CMP's best game of coaching. Everything was in sync in that game, coach and players.

I think people need to get over bringing up Painter with regards to individual wins or losses, period.

You point out that he's had some poorly coached games. Are there ANY coaches that haven't?

I'm just tired of this constant individual game argument on Painter. It's really getting old.

So are the "Fire _____ fill in the blank" posts we get after every other big time coach loses a game. Good luck stopping either one of them.

Just because we win doesn't mean we played well. In fact, I was very disappointed after the previous two games when we really moved the ball and players weren't standing around. Now we've gone backwards as far as team play is concerned. That was not a typical Izzo team. Wish he would take our team into the tournament.

Actually some games are on Painter and some are on the players. Yeah coaches make mistakes like players. What's wrong with giving opinions on what we think is the reason for a close loss?
