Andy Chelf victim of shooting Sunday morning...alive in hospital.

Not advocating fighting, but why can't kids and adults for that matter just throw a few punches vs. pulling guns and shooting? That deserves to be studied at the National level. Where has the "Fist to cuff" gone?

years ago there was a gangsta culture promoted in videos, music and movies...some see it as cool and the coarseness of society takes another downward slide. Self has been made to feel artificially important as though the "child-centered" approach doesn't have consequences that the sun revolves around self. Some psychologists that studied Columbine say growing up and not dealing with little defeats (pecking orders nto established due to everyone being a winner) has not equipped many with teh tools to handle conflict

Because in a fight, you might actually lose. Shoot first and ask questions later seems to be the mindset of some people owning firearms across all walks of life. Doesn't matter if its a common street fight, a shadowy figure in your house, or someone being pulled over for a traffic violation in the wrong part of town. I'm not sure if you can study that sort of behavior in a microcosm.

All interesting variables that when added up makes a culture of shooting acceptable vs. unthinkable.
