Got a tech? Nah. Play ball like it was called on the floor. Furst got away with a foul, Leal got away with a miss.Leal should have at least been assessed a tech on the kick to the nuts on furst and Furst shoulda been given a T too. Multiple occasions Leal grabbed smith and no call. Loose ball be nailed smith and no call.
But what about the First game? Smith owned Leal then or was that another guy?
Leal has the old man game - grab and hit the lower body to throw guys off and hope it doesn’t get called.
Glad he was able to finally get some minutes his 5th year of college. Soon enough no one will remember him.
Unless, of course, he’s selling houses in Bloomington.
We definitely want Houston’s bracketDrake will def be a popular pick. Whenever that happens i feel they’ll fall short (hope not).
I hope we have chaos. I could see Florida being the only SEC team to the F4.
And a lot of the top of the B1G out in second round. I could see Oregon and UCLA advancing to second weekend.
I think Gonzaga makes a run.
Houston to the title game, but tbh if I have to pick a 1 seed for Purdue to play, it’d be them because they don’t have height…helluva defense, but I think we matchup the best out of the 1 seeds.
Tech to F4…Duke out in second weekend…Hope it’s a good match madness
Where is the trolling?Dude, if you're just going to troll get lost, no one wants you here if you're going to take that tact.
Ace Baldwin is a bad defender. He just has steals numbers. If you have watched him play since the Purdue game, he is very lazy.To Leal's credit, if he can get away with grabbing and holding without getting called, more power to him. The scuffle with Furst was a different matter.
His defense on Braden was solid but it's not like he did anything special. He played hard and physical and Braden generally didn't react well, he missed a bunch of makeable shots and tried to do too much and turned the ball over.
As someone else stated, it's not as though offenses are game planning around Leal's defense. If he played for a better team he'd likely be on the all-defensive team. The kid from Penn State is just a more disruptive defender and the guys from MSU, OR and UCLA probably got the nod because they had more team success.
It’s funny how no IU fan will admit his intent to kick Furst in the nuts. Purdue fans will say Furst deserved a foul called on him, but Leal definitely deserved a tech/F2 (especially from how they called two other nut hits in other B1G games).Got a tech? Nah. But then again, Leal learned from the best ball grabber there is—Xavier Johnson. Him and Cupps were supposed to be better than Smith according to a majority of the IU board and fan base 😂
Lots of players sit on the bench of crappy teams that deserve more minutes. Do they all deserve sportsmanship awards?Nothing more sportsman like than having to sit the bench to begin the year when you're one *ACTUALLY* one of the best defenders in the conference and you have to watch Woodson fumble the season away.
Are we sure Woodson was aware that Leal played for IU?Are team Sportsmanship awards named by their Head Coach, and not by a vote. In other words, Potato Head named Leal.
Braden was in a four game tired funk when IU came to Mackey. It looked like everyone was " locking him up". We were all saying how worn out he seemed to be. As for Leal, who? Best in the nation?? Is this a humor site?To Leal's credit, if he can get away with grabbing and holding without getting called, more power to him. The scuffle with Furst was a different matter.

If Furst hadn’t pretended to have been fouled when Leal missed him, would it still bother you as much?Anthony "Nutshot" Leal
It's snarky and false. Most are reacting to someone insisting Leal not only belongs on all Defensive team, but also Defensive player of the year and that he is one of the best defensive players in the country. It's not even close. The media does not see it, OK you can say so what. But the coaches are wrong too and this internet troll is right? Sure, OK. Go away.If Furst hadn’t pretended to have been fouled when Leal missed him, would it still bother you as much?
It’s not a snarky question. Leal clearly missed him regardless of possible intent, and Furst clearly wasn’t hit; immediately complained and immediately got up and ran to tell the ref with no attention to what would have been painful if he had been hit.
So if Furst hadn’t complained would Leal still be such a villain to you guys?
The fourth best would have to be Furst for his board work and defense. Maybe Cox? None other than those two in the running.Based on performance this year, who is Purdue’s fourth best player? Where would they rank in the top 100 players in the BT?
I still like this team and think that guys like Myles, Cam, Gicarri and CJ can do some good things in the post season, but there’s a reason this team has two of the top five and probably three of the top 15 players and lost four in a row.
Absolutely agree. Leal is a little punk azzed beyatch.Anthony "Nutshot" Leal
Yep.If Furst hadn’t pretended to have been fouled when Leal missed him, would it still bother you as much?

I think he just found out about Leal a couple months ago.Are we sure Woodson was aware that Leal played for IU?
Does IU break down and hire Beard if they miss on enough of their top choices? I hope the answer is no, he’s the only coach I look at and think he’s more likely than not to make IU relevant.I think he just found out about Leal a couple months ago.
I am pretty much 100% certain that IU will not hire Beard or Wade. If I'm wrong--oh well, but I'm pretty darn certain.Does IU break down and hire Beard if they miss on enough of their top choices?
