Faux News' Jesse Watters' Friend Got DOGE'd

Very smart economic minds. Lol

He had a few of those last time. The ones he has now are bootlickers or idiots, or both.

He's hired a bunch of yes men this time. Which one is gonna tell him tariffs are bad for the economy........at the likely risk of unemployment? This is what happens when you manage through fear and intimidation.
Ha ha. Turn off MSNBC Bob.
You've bought into the idea that it's Trump and Musk sitting in the Oval office hashing out economic policy over cocktails?

It's a freakin ceasefire proposal. Jfc people. You're like the lineman that celebrates after a tackle. The game has just started.

I am for anything by anybody that stops the war on terms that guarantee security and sovereignty for Ukraine.

You actually believe I would be against a good deal for Ukraine because trump was responsible for it? Lol. You are so wound up in your political extremism and partisanship you have to make stuff so you can make an attack post or create another argument.

And the saddest thing is you'll ignore what I just posted. Tomorrow or the next day or next week you'll be right back at it, accusing me and others of being against a trump deal with Ukraine because we dont like trump. That's the petty games YOU PLAY, MAGA PLAYS, and above all, TRUMP PLAYS.
Could care less whether it's good for Ukraine. Not my problem What I care about is geo-political stability and Zelenskyy to stop acting like the US taxpayer owes him something.
Let his fellow Europeans come to his rescue.

what I'm saying is that Trump will carefully assess how his policies are having short and long term impacts, not only on the actual import/export impact, but also on the collective psyche of the market. And that he'll respond accordingly. Right now, the market is responding in the short term and to the news cycle.
He also knows that with the swipe of the pen or a national press conference, he can send the market on a rocket ship in a positive direction.
Omg. The words "carefully assess" and "trump" don't often collide on the same sentence. We're talking about Donald J Trump right?

How about he "carefully assess" the impact of the moves before he actually makes them?

You're saying he "carefully assessed" the impact of the additional 25% tariff on Canada in reaction to their increase of the electricity they supply to us? It wasn't just him reacting like a petulant child?

Shouldn't such a brilliant financial mind and stock market savant KNOW that the market would react badly to tariffs? If he believes tariffs are the answer to all our problems, why would he react to the market movements?

What you mean to say is his policy and reasons for tariffs will change based on the last person in his ear..........or his billionaire buddies that complain........or the blowback from the market.........or something else he didn't consider in his careful assessments.

Along with the lackeys he hired as economic advisors. Yes.

Are you REALLY going to defend this clusterfck? On again, off again tariffs on an almost daily basis? There's some well thought out master plan to this? Lol. You're the king of always talking about the president being respected around the world. The world is laughing at trumps economic policy.

Trump has found has his new revenge toy. Tariffs allow him to react instantly when he feels disrespected or wronged by other countries. It's his form of punishment that fits his style of management........and those of MAGA like you. And like your parenting style. Fear, intimidation, and punishment is how companies should be managed and countries should be run.........and kids should be raised. Nice guys can't be good managers. Too wimpy and soft.

In case you missed it on the other thread, Honda is building a new plant in Indiana instead of Mexico. Apple is spending 500b to build and expand in the US. Many more are lining up to do the same.

If you were an American patriot instead of a Ukrainian patriot, you would be happy that Trump's America First policies are working.

Frankly, I don't care what his reason might be for flip flopping on tariffs, as long as it helps the market. As I said, I'm sure his advisors told him what to expect in terms of market reaction. I doubt any of this is catching him off guard. What might not be expected is the degree or longevity of the market reaction because at some point, it gets into market psyche which can lead to irrational market response. That's what he needs to be careful of while at the same time, making moves to get the market to respond the right way.

Yes, I'll defend Trump and trust that he knows what he's doing. A two week negative market reaction isn't an indication of the long term implications of his policy.

Tell you what, I'll offer you the same bet I offered Katscratch. $100 to the charity of the others choice: I predict the Dow, SnP and NAS are all above their 3/9 levels on 9/1.

Lol. Why don't I just bet on next year's Super Bowl winner?

You think you've taken some kind of serious position with a "you wanna bet" gauntlet? Does that give your argument more credence? If Yellowstone blows up on 8/31 do I win? That's how stupid your bet is.

He wants lower interest rates. He may make the market go down and hurt the economy short term, but long term, with rates being reduced will stimulate growth, create jobs, and the market will go up.

Many people can’t see the forest through the trees. This is the end game that Trump is playing. Many just see what did Trump said today and run out the door with their hair on fire.

BS. How is Chump playing the long game when he campaigned that he will fix everything on day one? I'll say and say it again. Y'all been had. Y'all been took. Hoodwinked, Bamboozled. Run amuck. Run astray.

No, my bet forces someone like to put up or shut up.
If you're so confident that Trump policies are going to destroy the economy, then put your money where your mouth is and let's see if you're as smart as you think you are.

Or, is this another one of those cases where lefty libs like you cry and scream that "no human is illegal!!" until someone asks if you're willing to have an illegal stay at your house for a while, then.....silence.

I'm now offering you the same bet as I offered Kat and Bob. Man, you all could make some money here is you're willing to sack up.

And some come up with the most comical and absurd explanations to try and smear lipstick on this pig.

You can't be serious.

First, interest rates won't go down because of the market, but that's just a minor point.

But what you're saying.......I can't stop laughing........is that trump is purposefully and deliberately hurting the US economy......so that interest rates will go down.....so that the economy will grow.

Almost as bad, you want to make fun of people who not only think this is crackpot excuse making........but didn't see this obvious 4D chess move.

Let me count the ways an economist would call this insane.

I gotta bookmark this.

It's going to be a long, long, four years.

What are you like 15? "You wanna bet?"

As smart as I think I am? Betting on the economy 6 months from now is not very smart. I'm NOT confident trump is going to "destroy the economy". You said that, not me. I KNOW that what he's doing is bad economic policy, as do most economists. He could rescind all of the tariffs tomorrow and take a measured approach to managing it. Or Yellowstone could blow up tomorrow. Either way, the economy could change drastically and affect the numbers on 9/1. Comprende?

In other words, there are a ton of things that could dictate what the numbers are on 9/1. Only a fool would bet on what they will be when so many factors are involved.......trumps policy being ONE of them.

Just more tough guy dick measuring BS from you.
