AJ for Wednesday?

Just spent a weekend of attending Purdue basketball on Friday, Purdue football at Evanston on Saturday and Purdue basketball on Sunday
Lol... no you didn't. And "big butt growing" Really? Best ya go eh? Sorry I was busy doing things for our Military this weekend, while you were doing....whatver... in your parent's basement.

It's as I figured, you're just trolling.

People need to understand that it is illegal for anyone to disclose information about a students, or anyone's, medical condition, without permission. It is PRIVATE. And it's just common courtesy to withold any personal information that the public does not need to know.

OH. MY. GOD.

AJH doesn't have a Today Show appearance lined up, DOES HE?!?!?!

How about you boot strap your way into D1coaching like Matt Painter did, win the Purdue coaching job away from him, and then make your own decisions. Right now Matt's in charge, and it's his call.

Thanks to Bruce and Gene, he never did boot straps. And 12 years as a head coach hardly eliminates the potential for mistakes. And this was a big one.

Only to you. It's stuns me that you are so dense that you don't even see it.

You're biggest troll on these boards. You can only insult what you don't grasp.

Doing this for our military? Bullshit. The USO can do better than the likes of you.

Racist? To anyone over 12, that's Al McGuire.

I do contribute. But when a topic is as stupid as this one, I give it the effort it deserves.

I'll back off being a jerk now though, it isnt solving anything.

But seriously, drop this crap. The only one making any sort of a deal out of this is you. It isn't going to hurt aj's draft stock at all and he is playing tonight anyway.

Just let it go man.

Here's a deal ... Each time any of us hear or see any media reference to A.J.'s internal makeup this season or thereafter, we each drink a namesake -- a boilermaker. Then it'll be a win-win -- no one will care. Or we'll all meet for AA meetings in Mackey ... or Ross-Ade.

Fair enough. I've deleted my last response because it would only fuel a bad fire.

Agree to disagree on this topic and move along.

Hey, now wait a minute here. Ross-Ade already has enough people stumbling around and falling down on the job.

People need to understand that it is illegal for anyone to disclose information about a students grades or anyone's medical condition, without permission. It is PRIVATE. And it's just common courtesy to withold any personal information that the public does not need to know.

Why do people feel they have the absolute right to know anything and everything about a college student? I find it bizarre, but I suppose it's why gossip magazines at the grocery checkout are a thriving business.

Absolutely there can be privacy issues at play. I'm going to the game tonight. I would like to see AJ play, but if he doesn't I will think no less of him. He has shown character before and he has shown the ability to make mistakes. Overall, I tend to read him as a really good person, an extremely honest person and the fact that he jokes around with the players and coaches and they joke with him leads me to think this is not a serious issue, but just a matter of fact.

I think many parents would love to have such honesty in their children and I have nothing but good vibes for AJ. If something happens that later shows him to be mistreated, I will be very upset, but I would almost bet my life that isn't the case.

Born boiler, you are very adamant about your position. Is that the result of accurate information you have that is not public or just what you perceive...which may or may not be accurate? I'll pull for AJ all year and although I think his numbers will go down (maybe other than blocks) due to the surrounding talent and less opportunities I think he will flourish and receive much positive publicity this season.

I'll also say that I think a coach that cares about his players (and I put Matt in that category due to my perception and all the previous players comments) hardest job is the questioning that goes through the mind of every coach in being fair in ALL decisions

Interesting points.

I will dovetail a little on what Gem posted. I think it's a combination of the technology available, the "instant gratification" phenomenon/syndrome, the 24/7/366 media cycle now, and maybe unwittingly, some people having lowered their expectations of privacy......or at least how it relates to others and what they should/should not expect. Look at all the "candid" videos and pictures that get posted all over the web. Some of these have to be clear invasions of privacy, but it's so pervasive......how do you practically approach addressing it? How about those that post "self-incriminating" pictures or videos (what are they thinking)?

I also think......just because we have the technology......doesn't mean you have to use it for any means possible.......well except for Steve Austin, of course.
Steve Austin Really showing your age............ Crap showing mine

Better to miss games early/NC A&T/VT. ect., ect..., than the later, more critical IU/MD/MSU type games. Some lessons take a lifetime to learn, & must be reenforced regularly. I look at Coach Painter's past/history, & know I/we can trust him [with no questions on this type of thing] to do what's best for the team, AJ & everyone, as he always has before at Purdue. I lose no sleep over somthing like this, & have bigger fish to fry. How about we let coach & AJ work it out in private, as anyone else in their circumstances/positions would wish. These players get enough unwanted/unnecessary, bad attention as it is, why add to it?

"In Painter We Trust"

Go Boilers!!!

Glad they taught you how to spell at Purdue. Its "reinforce" not "reenforce". I thought Purdue was the "Ivy League school of the midwest"?

Context, Freddy. I responded to a question about Painter's consideration of his player.

As for the coach's money, I'm sure A.J. would be happy to wait until after the season.

You and context just don't go together.

And no, no one believes you spent the weekend ATTENDING Purdue basketball and football games in Lafayette and Evanston. Why would you possibly continue to attend basketball games while whining incessently that those who do so are being cheated? How dumb is that?

Actually, it may be spelled either way. Google it bright eyes. I didn't attend Purdue, unfortunately. I went to an Ivy school.

Naughty, naughty, "Its"? Shame on IWho for letting you eat the books, instead of read them. Crayola give you a tummy ache?
