So anybody got any feedback on prospective BOILERS about their in recent AAU tournaments like Peach Jam?

I think Trent Burns was the only 2024 guy participating and his team got knocked out early (or so I heard, didn't verify).

Catchings did another event, and according to Brian Neubert probably his last grassroots event, and scored 30.

Perry, Burgess, and Harris were all in Rock Hill, SC for an Adidas event.
Perry: seemed a little overwhelmed with pressure defense with the ball in his hands, seems much better suited as an off ball guard but is only 6'2" and also had issues staying in front of quicker players defensively.

Burgess: has a great shooting stroke and impacts the game in more ways than just scoring. You can tell he has a blast playing basketball but was playing in his first action after his injury (broken leg, if I recall) and didn't move around all that well.

Harris: was FANTASTIC in his first game. Scored 25ish, was extremely disruptive, on-ball, defensively. 2nd game he started off a little rough but rolled his ankle very early in the game. Tried to come back in but wasn't effective - sat out the rest of the weekend. Based on how well he played in game 1, probably not the worst thing to happen for Purdue, recruiting-wise.

Will probably only do organized basketball stuff with his HS team is how I took it. He has done a ton of stuff this summer with USA camp on top of AAU and other HS camps.

Harris is the guy I want. Idk if Glenn has any more kids but I would love to have some of his Big Dog blood on the team. Btfu!

Carsen was less than 6' and I'm not sure he guarded anyone in three years. Not a fair comparison for Perry but if you can fill it up on offense you can get by some of those other deficits.

I think i heard somewhere From that Gelen is/was pushing him towards Purdue. Not sure if that's changed.

Harris looks like he could bully his way to a solid 15-17pts a game by his Jr. Year at Purdue based on a clip I saw from earlier this year.

Sounds like he gets to the rim consistently and plays a tough D. Don't know much about his shooting. Love to have him in Mackey.

Agree, but Carsen was also really good against ball pressure. If Perry is an "A" or better offensively you can live with "D" on-ball defense if he knows where to be as part of a team defense. The problem I see is if you already know he is going to he a defensively liability, he HAS to be really good offensively to contribute.

I'd much rather have a player be stronger offensively than defensively. We've had a lot of really good defensive players who didn't contribute on offense and it hurt the team.
