My wording must've came off the wrong way, just referencing the fact that history can be acnowledged in the same perspective by any age, (whether 18 or 179) but 1837 had to have been a depressing year for Purdue basketball...

Oh yeah, John Purdue didn't have a university founded in his name... let alone a basketball program yet:rolleyes:
No worries kid. We're just poking fun of our own age and a little bit at a younger persons perception. All meant in good fun.

On the other hand, often the "winners" write selective, biased, inaccurate histories that deserve to be rewritten... Example: celebrating Columbus Day when the guy obviously didn't discover anything and by many accounts was an utter sadist.
ABSOLUTE truth and why I mentioned it was told by the winners. It is also true that there is a desire to rewrite it in some cases...
