A couple of eye-openers involving Big Ten teams last night

The first of which was IUPUI and Austin Parkinson taking #11 Michigan to overtime in Ann Arbor. He's doing one hell of a job there and it won't be long before he gets an opportunity at something bigger if he wants it. I'm just hoping it's not in the Big Ten.

The other result was Minnesota dropping their home opener to Jacksonville. I don't follow the Jacksonville program closely, but they were 4-17 last season and only won one conference game in the A-SUN. Maybe they have improved greatly, but I still can't think that reflects well on Minnesota.

Also, IU opens up at Butler tonight. Butler was not very good last season at 3-17 and obviously IU was an Elite 8 squad and ranked 8th in the country so I'd expect IU to roll there.

For those keeping track, Sacha Washington played 6 minutes in her debut at Vanderbilt. 0 points, 2 rebounds, 2 turnovers, and 4 fouls.
