I have to believe painter has been in contact with player(s) he wants to add and those players who already announced their new destination had already contacted Painter if they were interested in Purdue. Painter publicly admitted he was recruiting both Jones and his SIU teammate but only had 1 scholarship to give at the time. Painter also admitted of the two players, jones was his second choice. Painter has done well with his second choices. Look at Cox vs the guy who went to Kentucky.
I feel like Berg could average 10/8/2 if he played at a low major like Youngstown St.
He really really struggled this past season. Not sure why, but it was a massive dip.

Thanks for sharing that video! A lot of options. Cluff seems to have excellent footwork and quick feet, good passer, but scores around the rim. Very good rebounder. Ballard maybe fairly similar in some of those aspects, but Davidson and Williamson much more range. Davidson probably not quite the rebound or shot blocking presence of the first 2.
He can return to Nevada taking himself out of the portal if he chooses to.

Watched play as a regionite a number of times, besides being injury prone I don’t like his game that much. In my opinion he’s a nice 8/9th played on a good team, I want Purdue to get a difference making big in the portal, he would be a lower level option.

I dunno given how he shoots, think you could play high low with Cluff. Both could get 20, and both could play 30 minutes a game. Put three guards around them to shoot and force teams to spend their energy focused on those two.
Plus you get size on defense. Could play man but with some zoneish principles where those two never really leave the lane on D.
Apparently they met with Cluff a few days ago and he’s visiting Purdue this weekend. Then Iowa state is meeting again with him. I have a tad bit of hope that the door is open since he hasn’t committed to Iowa state just yet.
Not sure the connection to Otz unless there’s one due to Cluff being Australian and Otz’s wife being Australian, who was a very good bball player at Iowa State.

Need at least 2. Some combo of a 5, a scoring athletic 4 and a ball handling 1 who can create, shoot and finish.

I’d say 2.5M minimum. But offers of 5M plus could make him listen but I think it also comes down to paint and the big 3 discussing what they need for next year and if paint and staff can get those guys. Or at least show them Purdue is willing to listen and try and go get em.
