With a late start, whenever we get our next coach, there is going to have to be 40-50 transfers at least with no recruiting class and all of the transfers out. It worked for IU, so I don't know why it cannot work for us.

The difference I see between your situation and IU's, as of YESTERDAY, December 1st, Cignetti was already on contract last year. With the new dates for early portal visits (Dec 4th), you could be more like Washington. Yes, they were caught unexpectedly in January but still in two weeks your are outside the portal window until the spring. The coach at Washington has reminded his press corp of that almost weekly.

Didn't realize he had eligibility left. Good for him. He seems like he could play at the next level with good coaching and work put into his craft. Would love to see him stay.
