We have 8 players returning that played against teams that made the NCAA Tournament last year. Thought I would post the composite stats for how our 8 guys did in those games.

We played 14 games last year against teams that made the NCAA Tournament. 7 of the 8 returning players played in every game, PJ Thompson being the only one not to play in all 14 (he played in 11 of the 14). Purdue went 6-8 last year in those 14 games.

AJ Hammons: 24 mpg, 12.3 ppg, 5.4 rpg, 0.9 apg, 0.4 spg, 3.1 bpg, 2.2 topg, 3.1 pfpg, 55% FG%, 68% FT%.

Ray Davis: 34.5 mpg, 10.6 ppg, 4.1 rpg, 2.3 apg, 0.8 spg, 0.1 bpg, 2.4 topg, 2.5 pfpg, 43% FG%, 28% (7-25) 3FG%, 73% FT%.

Isaac Haas: 15.4 mpg, 8.4 ppg, 4.4 rpg, 0.1 apg, 0.3 spg, 0.8 bpg, 1.2 topg, 2.2 pfpg, 52% FG%, 60% FT%.

Vince Edwards: 27.6 mpg, 8.1 ppg, 5.1 rpg, 2.6 apg, 0.4 spg, 0.1 bpg, 1.5 topg, 2.4 pfpg, 45% FG%, 33% (14-43) 3FG%, 75% FT%.

Kendall Stephens: 21.6 mpg, 6.4 ppg, 2.3 rpg, 1.8 apg, 0.5 spg, 0.3 bpg, 1 topg, 1.8 pfpg, 27% FG%, 30% (20-67) 3FG%, 72% FT%.

Dakota Mathias: 19.6 mpg, 4.9 ppg, 2.4 rpg, 0.8 apg, 0.6 spg, 0 bpg, 0.9 topg, 1.6 pfpg, 31% FG%, 31% (16-51) 3FG%, 67% FT%.

Basil Smotherman: 13.4 mpg, 2.6 ppg, 1.5 rpg, 1.1 apg, 0.5 spg, 0.1 bpg, 0.4 topg, 1.5 pfpg, 64% FG%, 20% (1-5) 3FG%, 50% FT%.

PJ Thompson: 15.2 mpg, 2.6 ppg, 0.9 rpg, 1.2 apg, 0.5 spg, 0 bpg, 0.5 topg, 1.4 pfpg, 29% FG%, 33% (7-21) 3FG%, 67% FT%.

Quick things I noticed at a glance:

How few assists Mathias had.
How many turnovers AJ and Ray had.
How well Isaac and Vince produced.
How terrible Kendall, Dakota and PJ shot overall.

Enjoy and discuss.
