10 Things I am Looking for in Next Sundays' Opener

To start of the 2015 Purdue Football season and Coach Hazell's third at the helm of the Boilermakers;

1) Enthusiasm from start to finish from our staff and players
2) Minimum of penalties and turnovers
3) DB's that play tough bump and run coverage in obvious passing situations
4) Multiple throws down field with at least one long completion
5) Win the turnover game
6) Plus side of third down makes and stops total
7) Improved blocking and tackling - need to grade out well
8) Minimum of mental mistakes and that includes play calling and coaches decisions
9) A Kicking game to keep us in the game and not take us out of it
10) A WIN dammit!

I will take #10..................even if it's "UGLY"!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hard not seeing our guys accomplish #10 if they do well in 1-9. But this is an opening game. Execution and timing are sometimes spotty.

I would add: force Marshall into mistakes and find ways to capitalize. This is their first game, too.

with the experience we have in our Offensive line.....look for Purdue to control the clock and game with 75% run and 25% pass.......

If we can get the defense to get us a few turnovers.......I see us controlling the game from start to finish.

Run, Run and Run some more and when the defense loads the box...pop the 25 yarder over the top and hope our guys shake the tackle and take it for a huge gain.
