    They returned starters but let's get real the starters talent level isn't very good. Even Layden is slow and plodding can't create her own shot and not much athleticism...but she has great court awareness and high BB IQ from growing up in a basketball family and she can hit 3's when she's not.

    The 2 transfers are the 2 best players on the team besides Jayla Smith. This PU WBB team really lacks overall talent and athleticism and the 2 transfers couldn't be needed more.

    I think Jayla had her best game for Purdue tonight. She's the reason they won that game imho. She really stood out and was the best player on the floor.

    This is how my mind works I'm already thinking about the starting 5 for next season. And I think Stoddard and Potts will be starters along with Smith, Madison, and Learn. Of course, the transfer portal could be a factor. But if the talent level and depth keep steadily improving as it was obvious...
