    Starting lineup against the Hogs

Or rather what he is not. What he is not is an athletic guard who can compete deep into the NCAA tourney. And that's the only real goal for this talented team.

    Starting lineup against the Hogs

After all the hype about Heide's athleticism and what he can bring to this team, I'm very disappointed to see his lack of minutes and impact on this game. Arkansas has always been an athletic program, and Ethan Morton struggles to contain athletic guards and add value on the offensive end. He...

    Found myself cheering against Painter

This overcoaching/gagging against the press - whatever you wish to call it - will get us in the tournament.

    Looks like Brohm gone.

This is expected and fine. He foreshadowed this last summer with his comments that he could leave now after six years. Purdue needs a coach who is pleased to be at Purdue (e.g. Painter). And I don't really enjoy watching his team do stupid things game after game or hearing what an ass his...

    Now What

Berghoff (Board Chair and big Purdue athletics supporter) and Bobinski are two highly capable guys who understand the importance of this hire. I'm told they also fully recognize the Wild West climate of college sports these days. They'll make a wise hire. And they'll find someone who...

    Dumb....

Brohm owns it. He clearly tolerates it as they continue to do it. It's not been the way Purdue has rolled in the past, and I find it classless. Tiller would have put their asses on the bench until they figured it. out.

    Winston Berglund

Kid is a hitter! He's going to be fun to watch.

If you're a male basketball player wanting to play at a D1 school, and you had a choice

Matta will absolutely steal some...perhaps more than just some. His health is significantly improved, and he's a great guy who loves his alma mater. Butler has a cool, successful and recent tradition and is located in a sizable city. It's an uphill battle for Butler to compete at a high level...

    Early predictions for next year.

I think we'll be much more fun to watch. You'll see a lot better defense and better care of the ball on offense.

Thad Matta is new HC at Butler

Matta is a terrific guy, and he loves Butler. He's a winner, and I think this move will work out very well for the university and him. He's worked hard on his back and made solid progress, but it will always impact his walking.

    Fletcher Loyer

Not even close - this kid is much stronger.

    You are AD Bob….

Coach - remind me again why you believe Braden Smith and Fletcher Loyer have the toughness and poise to lead your team to greater success in the tournament. While these two are maturing in your program, which older guards can you target in the transfer portal who will bring poise, toughness and...

    Braden Smith

I stood next to him at a Westfield game. He's all of 6' and maybe '6'1". He's very fast and dunks easily. I don't worry about his athleticism at all. I just want him to be as tough as Kramer or Skiles. And a little mean, too.

    Defense Lives Here

The data in the article would suggest not, but Edwards and Kline slinging it was the closest we have come.

This the first Purdue team I can remember that isn't as good as the sum of its parts.

There is something off mentally with this team. Perhaps they just lack confidence. But their turnovers and defensive lapses are all avoidable, especially with the experience they have. They have not rounded into the consistent, reliable team I expected them to be. Honestly, they're just not...
