Perhaps it's reprioritization of what I let stress me out (work, work, family, etc) but this entire year, I've been oddly calm during the basketball games. Even during the tourney, I haven't gotten any of those 'pit in your stomach' feelings, even late in the TN game. Just always felt Purdue would pull it out. I had zero concerns with getting past NCST, and now with UConn, I feel oddly at peace that some how, some way, Purdue finds a way to win.
Trust me, this is coming from a guy who in the early 2000's, once threatened to cut off the tip of his pinky finger with garden shears if we lost the Bucket game.

Thinking ahead to our game against UCONN, I'm wondering if we can mix things up a bit. They usually stick to a shorter rotation, so what if we throw them off balance by going deeper and trying out some zone defense? Maybe use everyone on our roster to wear them out (ala VCU in 2011)?

Our guards are smaller, but we've got depth to work with. Why not give Morton, Heide, and Colvin some minutes against their key players like Newon, Castle, and Spencer? And let's not forget about Furst (maybe) and Gillis – they could add some size and depth, especially if we mix in a bit of zone.

For the next few years at least I don't see any teams coming close to beating UConn, South Carolina and maybe USC. They are absolutely loaded and getting the cream of the crop recruits again for next year

I want this for my mom, Rhonda Miller, and her dad, Raymond Dillon, who passed in 1991. He instilled a love of sports in her that she passed down to me. Her taking me to Kokomo basketball games since i could walk is a big reason Hammer & Rails and this place exist. Her dad would be proud.

My dad is the Purdue alum, but my mom is the big sports fan that started me on this path. Big thanks also to her friends Carol, Peggy, and JoAnn as the ladies she took me to games with. They are my basketball moms.

In an interview yesterday, Edey was very quiet about how Purdue was preparing for the game. He wanted to say more but didn't. It is almost like Purdue is going to unleash something tonight we have never seen before.

I think the Boilers will give and leave EVERYTHING on the court for victory tonight. The Players, the Coaches, the Fans: Give EVERYTHING for 40 minutes. There is no tomorrow in this tournament.

I assume we will be the road team since we are the lower overall seed? It's a good time to be the underdog and take on the spoilermaker role again.
