Since you didn't bother to actually thoroughly research it, for the record:
- Central York School District does not serve the city of York (that'd be the School District of the City of York). Central York School District serves Manchester and North York. So, the make-up of York's city council is irrelevant. It'd be analogous to you saying that Hamilton County is left-leaning because Indianapolis has a Democratic city council and mayor.
- Central York School District's school board has 9 members, 7 are republican
- York County, even with a Democratic-leaning city of York within it, voted as follows in recent elections:
- 2020 Presidential - Trump (R)
- 2020 US House - Smucker (R) and Perry (R) (the county is split into two districts)
- 2022 Senate - Oz (R)
- 2022 US House - Smucker (R) and Perry (R)
- 2022 PA Governor - Mastriano (R)
- And according to THIS, the county is represented in the PA House by one whole Democrat against--if I didn't make an error--7 republicans; and in the Senate by none.
So, It would appear that BNI's theory is far less "shaky" than your suggestion that this school district is in a Democratic area.
