It is reported that associate head coach John Shondell, who has been with his brother Dave for all the 19 years Dave has been here, has resigned. Coach Dave said that John "stepped away for personal reasons and to spend more time with his family."

Of note is that his daughter Allie, a setter, is a Purdue 2024 commitment.

Best of luck Coach John. You will be missed.

He wasn’t there Friday at the game either, it seems like this maybe happened mid-week. I noticed because he usually calls our serves and Dave was Friday, then I realized he was not on the bench.

Saw that….hope all is well. I can’t believe it’s not very serious for him to stop coaching in the middle of the season.
