I'm not bitching about it, but it seems to be getting to be an impossible job. There's so much grabbing and bumping of receivers, every call is a judgement call on how much is too much. How much holding on the line, when is the hit late, if the QB falls down is it late, what is taunting.

With that said when do you force a ref to sit out? What prompts a suspension. He needs the job, he needs the income and you find out he's in debt huge and two weeks from losing his house to foreclosure, he has 3 small kids. Do you let him ref the Ohio State/Michigan game with two 11-0 teams when you know he's in deep financial trouble.......with zero history of misbehavior?
