So, if January didn’t go the way it did, then Oregon would say “good, usc is gone, now we can just beat the rest of the pac and get our automatic bid,” and function like Gonzaga. But now it’s likely all to be controlled by the big and sec which is why they can tell the networks whatever they want to tell them AND likely why usc came a running.
Notre dame would likely be good with all at large and somewhat equivalent money from NBC. This is actually a terrible decision for them long term but I think they won’t think so … elitist pride will do them in.
