Why don’t you go work on your little essay about Trumps pardon of Dinesh D’Souza, a horrible $hit stain of a man who plead guilty to campaign fraud, and how it was anything other than to spite Obama again. He plead guilty and Trump gets on Twitter and says the government was being a meanie and pardons him, just as he pardoned that old as dirt human boil Sheriff Joe.
Trump is also sending a load and clear signal with these pardons. The guy isn’t that hard to read.
Sheriff Joe Arpaio is an old man now, but I bet he could still kick your candy a$$. And, as usual, you hate on a Republican (D'Souza), in this case because he dared to make a movie that portrayed your Messiah in a negative light.
Truth is, if anyone's a $hit stain of a man it would be Obama. "Led from behind". Signed the Iran deal and allowed Iran to fund rogue regimes/terrorist groups in Yemen (Houthi's), Hamas and Hezbollah, Assad in Syria by giving them $150B and giving access to international banking institutions and removing long-in-place sanctions. Forced regime change in Libya (causing a vaccum for ISIS to take over), forced regime change in Egypt (allowing the Muslim Brotherhood to take over), left Iraq too early and allowed ISIS to create a stronghold, which Trump just cleaned up.
Doubled our national debt from $10B to $20B in 8 years.
Foisted Obamacare on the American people. Misled and lied about its benefits. (If you want to keep your plan (and doctor), you can. It will save families $2500/year. The plans will be better than what you currently have.) - ALL LIES
Constantly played identity politics (black vs. white, gay vs. straight, male vs. female, Muslim vs. Christians and Jews, etc., etc.) Race relations were worse after the first black President than before.
Under his watch, Ds lost over 1,000 seats in government at the federal and state levels. Rs rejoiced! Trump's election was largely a response to 8 years of Obama plus HRC doubling down on his failed policies.

Well, if people are so concerned about Russia meddling, influence, and interference, I think there are a few more than fair questions to ask:
-Bring up Obama mocking Romney in 2012 debate over 1980 policy
-Obama thinking mikes were off whispering to Russian diplomat to wait til after election to talk nukes.
-Pretty sure Obama said it was crazy to think someone could alter election and Trump should concentrate on getting votes
-If USA was tipped off about this in 2015 or earlier, why was nothing done?

Obama, well he lied plenty too. ie-health care, shovel ready jobs, ending Iraq war, the list goes on. Unfortunately, comes with being a politician in every day American politics.
Leaders don’t do things like whine that ABC didn’t call him and apologize for some petty BS that is layers and layers beneath what a president should focus on

I do not think his base forgets this. I think the far left/liberals forget this. Just like the conservative base forgets it when a democrat is in office.
All my point is that a lot of people dislike Trump for aforementioned qualities, which is fine. But forget that many of the same qualities apply to many different politicians, including the preceding President.

I wouldn’t be upset if the pardons were justified. These two weren’t. Plus, it’s clear why they were done, which is to send a message to others such as Cohen: if you are sentenced , I will let you go, no worries.
If that doesn’t bother you......well of course it doesn’t. After all, you defend the guy who said he could stand in the middle of Fifth Avenue and shoot someone and not lose a vote. Clearly a pardon of these two boils isn’t a concern to you

Guess what, the Trump Tower was wire tapped and had an FBI spy monitoring the campaign.

Trump obviously exaggerated things, and I didn't read all 492 contradictions, someone has a lot of time on their hands, but the 40 or so I did read Confirmed progress is being made.

It's not typical of the ordinary politician. That's always the default. Even so, does that make it ok? I thought Trump was going to be a different president, you all were tired of the same old politician? Drain the swamp.....that's supposed to include lying politicians right?

Almost worse is when he throws out a theory that is a lie, but won't actually say it. One of his favorites is regarding McCabes wife, that she got 700k from Hillary and implying it wasn't used in the campaign and that McCabe helped Hillary because of it. The money was all accounted for, it didn't come from Hillary (but some of it came from a McAuliffe PAC and he's a friend of Clinton so of course it's dirty), and McCabe wasn't even working on the email issue, didn't become deputy director until after the election. It was a lie Trump kept repeating just to beat up McCabe. Trump does this all the time, knowing his sheep will take and run with it.
Bob, my guess you'd have been extremely happy with Lying Hillary as the Killer in Chief. While I hate his tweets, Trump has honestly done more for this country in one year than Obama did in eight.

I think most level headed people (emphasis on level headed) would admit that while we don't know because she lost, Hillary would have been a different side of the same coin. You could see how she conducted herself as Secretary and figure it out. We would have gotten different lies, but lies none the less. The American people, in my opinion, got the two worst candidates for President to choose from in a long, long time.
I accept that the President, and the Government in general, are going to lie to the people. That is reality. What chaps me about Trump is that he lies about things that are easily verifiable as lies, and then doubles down on them. It is an unnecessary way to diminish his credibility as President, and gives fodder do his enemies as much at it fuels his base. Most of his lies are harmless and silly, but my concern is if he is willing to lie about the small stuff, what is to stop him from lying about major things?
He may lie a lot, but he has kept more campaign promises than I can remember from presidents in the past.
Hillary would surely have been a different side of the same coin. No doubt. But admitting that doesn't absolve you from being labeled a Hillary lover among the Trumpers if you are also a critic of Trump. There is no middle ground.
Like you, I worry about the easiness with which Trump lies, makes half truths, and throws out conspiracies. When we have a real crisis, do we believe what he says, his version of the facts? He lies about the small stuff but is truthful about the important things? Any reasonable person would say human nature doesn't work that way.
I refuse to accept politicians that lie. If we accept it we will only get more of the same. We have to expect and demand better. Otherwise, we have no right to criticize. I realize it's idealistic and maybe not realistic......but the other option is unacceptable to me.
What Trump doesn't seem to understand, or doesn't care about, is that the President's words matter. They move markets, affect foreign relations, divide or bring our citizens together, establish the tone of the political discourse. His words are designed to make himself look better and appeal to his base. Period.

By your "standard", every President since Lincoln has lied. Your "standard" is completely unrealistic.
The difference is you go ape$hit over seemingly every single word Trump utters, while I don't recall emotional outbursts from you about the Bushes, Clinton, or Obama. (And they all lied plenty.) You are incapable of seeing Trump in any light except a negative one. You willingly overlook the lies from other past Presidents and you seem to hold Trump to a different "standard". So, in that regard, your "standard" might be considered hypocritical, too.
I've given specifics and I'll continue to. You give vague generalizations of past presidents. Of course they lied, everybody lies. But Trump has taken it to a new level and almost every lie is designed to make himself look better. He is an extremely insecure man who must put down his opponents........with the same goal as the lies, to prop himself up.
Twitter has obviously gives him more opportunity to be proven wrong than past presidents but thats the choice he makes every day. His self promoting Rally's do the same. His choice, his words. I guarantee that if he went off his script written by his staff there would be far less lies. But he's smarter than everybody else, he knows at this point he can say whatever he freakin wants and it will be lapped up by the brownshirts like you. He no longer has to worry about the truth.

Honest question: Do you think Trump lies more than most Presidents in our country's history? Or do you think he's lies an average amount?
My perception is that he lies more than GWB, and about the same as Clinton and Obama. Some of the things the "fact checkers" count as lies for Trump are not really lies. If you look across American history, all of these Presidents likely lie more than their predecessors did. These generations are not the same, character-wise, as previous ones. Personally, I think the Baby Boomer generation has ruined a lot of things in this country.
He lies about stupid shit at an unprecedented level. It is isn't even close. If he played in the NHL he would be the Gretzky of petty, stupid lies - untouchable records. This Philly Eagles debacle is....I don't know...Trump is a counter-puncher who will never accept not getting the last word. That isn't a bad trait, but you have to know when and where to utilize it. All the damn time, isn't the answer. Policy wise I'm not sure you can level the same criticism.
