You Guys Realize. ..

You're an idiot. Purdue played like crap for large stretches, yet still came out on top by 15.

Stephens was ice cold; that won't happen often. Having the depth Purdue has is such an advantage.
I think the OP was TIC. Let's not get too defensive with each other.

Yes, the Gators were unranked. I think they finish 3rd in the SEC behind U and Vandy, but that's just a wild guess since I am not well acquainted with many of the SEC teams. They are athletic and long. They are well coached and take their defense seriously. They w do well overall.

Ah, my apologies then! Just sick of people trashing Purdue in any way possible.

Go Boilers.

Florida isn't any good.. either that, or they had an off night shooting....maybe both; it depends on which fact I am failing to refute.

I know this because a hoops genius explained this to me yesterday in the aftermath of the ODU game....

I don't know how good they are or will end up, but they are at least a major step up from the Word and showed the type of challenges some teams will present to try and bother Purdue's back court.....and they had some athletic big men.

Purdue had some opportunities to stretch out a lead and didn't, but then they locked down for a stretch and put the game away.....with contributions from several players. And PJ Thompson showed what he can do.....that's got to give him and CMP some confidence.....and that will pay off somewhere down the line.

In years past, the Boilers might have let that slip away.......not tonight. Still plenty of things to work on, but that was a pretty good weekend for Purdue, especially with a couple of guys struggling.

My apologies as well........unless you were serious, and then the D bag statement still applies

...that Florida isn't any good right?-

Florida has some really talented, young players and it showed. I didn't think they played very well together as a team and obviously got exposed a bit with experience. I think it is definitely a team that will get better as the season goes. Will be interesting to see how they do in the SEC.

While Purdue definitely has some things to improve on, they took care of business in both games on a neutral court - something they haven't always done.

I love this team, but still think we will have a couple speed bumps in non-conference play.

Pitt, Butler and Vandy are all going to be good tests for us. One on the road, one at home and one neutral court. I agree with you that we have things to work on. Really looking forward to seeing how we improve. Also, no slip-ups against teams like New Mexico or IUPUI.
