Would anyone fear this draw?

Really. Purdue is its worst enemy.... Fear..the D and focus on ball security. Improve there and we can beat anyone. BUT will that improve? So far I have not seen it.

I for one would love this draw. I think we match well throughout that bracket.

I would like that bracket, but doubt it happens. There are teams that have strengths that give Purdue problems that are referenced as poor matchups and there are just very good teams that are match-up problems. When a team is comparible in quality of play, but very different approaches or "strengths" it is important that Purdue make that "matchup" difference an advantage for Purdue due to that teams weaknesses. Matchup problems just mean that the other teams strength is your teams weakness and so you have to "flip" that assuming the whistle allows... :)

Considering the fact that we simply can't beat Butler I don't see how this is a good draw.
Having cut my teeth on Butler basketball and wishing them well. I "think" it would take a "certain" whistle for Butler to beat Purdue and would be surprised with Purdue getting beat...although I really like that baldwin kid. :)

I wish every year Purdue didn't play them in teh Crossroads that the home and home was rotated every two years and they play at least once a year...same with ND

In that bracket I prefer the 6 seed than if Purdue was the 5 seed. That said, Purdue just needs to not beat themselves and decide as a team they are going to get the job done this year!

I really hope we can work to a 3 seed going to be tough though

I've always thought the 3/6 line isn't a bad place for a "darkhorse" run....

Purdue was a #6 in 2000; however, Purdue was also a #3 in 2011. I still think Purdue is in the 3-6 seed box/window right now. The 4/5 line means likely facing the top-seed in the Regionals....but this year.......maybe not, you never know. Of course, things can always change. The next two weeks will be interesting, and as of right now, the only ranked team Purdue is scheduled to face is Maryland.
