Great post! Everyone talks about our D, but someone always hangs big numbers against us an we have zero answer to stop it. Again. True contenders find a way to win these games. No heart, and no killer instinct.

every team has a weakness, seems like Purdue's is stopping the dribble drive. I think the team has a lot of heart, just can't stop someone taking it to the hoop on them. I do wish Edwards would loosen up and play like the guy is capable of more often.

Wisconsin didn't handle the road when playing us. And we handled the road against MSU and a talented Notre Dame team among others.

People here seem to think that just because Purdue is on the jersey teams like Nebraska and what not are going to just roll over. So what if they lost a few games in a row? Did you expect them to not give us their best shot?

I am convinced more than ever that those hating on Painter and the team have never played an organized sport in their lives. Because one of the things you learn while playing is that you will lose. And you will lose some that you shouldn't and probably for a million different reasons. Like for me as a baseball player, a team mate had a glove break that made him miss what would of been an easy out, but instead allowed 2 runs to score and we lost to a lesser team.

Those of you jumping off of the ledge like this probably need to reflect on your life goals if it bothers you this much.

Which I think the recruits coming in Painter is adjusting for that. The game has changed dramatically over the last couple years and we were a traditional Big Ten type team and that isn't the game type anymore.

nebraska went into assembly hall and maryland and won so they must have some talent. we played ok for 39 minutes, unfortunately the game is 40 and we stunk in the last minute

They do have talent and i think are young as well.

We blew it with the carelessness in the last couple minutes.

Also I guess we can't play defense at the foul line on the road like Wisconsin' If Rutgers didn't miss 4 free throws at the end, they win. Our free throw defense wasn't very good last night. Some times it also just good fortune, just saying
