we lost 4 players to the portal this week. it appears looking at their positions, and their limited contributions, that they were all beaten out by the guys Odoms brought to Purdue. so we will definitely be better.

Actually it’s pretty hard to judge how good team will be this season. And first game won’t be a good indicator. But it is good to start with 2 games against teams that aren’t rated that good, to give team experience . Third game will say a lot.

We should be able to beat SIU and ball state. We play Illinois, IU, Minn, northwestern and Rutgers. That’s could be 5-6 wins
If last year's team can come incredibly close to beatin Illinois in Chamapaign this year's team can win in WL.
Northwestern is not that daunting
Minnesota, Rutgers, and Washington aren't terribly overwhelming and is Indiana really going to be that good again?

Southern Illinois - 95%
USC - 14%
at ND - 2%
Illinois - 35%
at Minnesota - 20%
at Northwestern - 20%
Rutgers - 40%
at Michigan - 1%
Ohio State - 1%
at Washington - 20%

Think you're low on IL, MN, NW, WA numbers and a little high on iu. But even at your numbers that's 3.7 expected wins. So 4 sounds about right.
4-8 and let’s recruit some dudes and get some portal pick ups and keep it moving positively!
You know I am filled with hopium and say we get 6 wins and a bowl bid.
