Will Purdue be 13-0 when conference play begins?

Yep - our team playing this year is:

Freshmen: Swanigan, Cline, Taylor (redshirt)

Sophomores: Mathias, Edwards, Thompson, Haas

Juniors: Stephens

Seniors: Davis, Hammons, Hill* (obviously not a 4 year player on this team though)

So of our current 'playing' roster, 7 of the 11 are underclassmen.

You can count Smotherman in the 'sophomore' group now, too, since he has two more years to play

My guess is 11-2. Not sure how. I think we'll go 2-1 vs. Butler, Vandy, and Pitt and probably pick up a bad night loss somewhere.

No matter what happens, this team will be defined in March.

They could go that way but, this isn't last year's team. I really see potentially a very good or great team and am going on the limb for them. FF? Not necessarily as that does involve draws and some luck but, maybe. However, I see us with a high finish ranking wise, maybe 5-8. We are simply that good. We still have to prove it!

Had to bump this thread with this cbssports article on undefeated teams left. On Purdue:
Purdue (7-0): BUY.
Big-time buy here. I was talking with my brothers on Wednesday night, and they mentioned how unusual it was to feel really good about a Purdue basketball team. Matt Painter's had some nice groups in years past, but this squad has the height to stand out. A.J. Hammons has been stellar all season, and freshman big Caleb Swanigan has overachieved to this point. If Isaac Haas could be even better, Purdue's Final Four chances will get serious. The Boilers are likely to get to 10-0.
Next three: vs. New Mexico, vs. IUPUI, vs. Howard

It doesn't appear that the author realizes how great Haas has played thus far this season. Maybe he just watched the Pitt game when AJ was playing like an All American and Haas spent a lot of time on the bench. Until the Pitt game, I thought that Isaac was having a better season than AJ.

Yeah, and I think everyone who has watched this team regularly would agree with you. The three-headed monster is REAL!!!!!!
