That was a big selling point with Morgan to us on Hazell. Consulted with an NFL GM who can't figure out you need an OL to protect your QB.
It's all Luck's fault. That big contract he just signed this summer prevented Grigson from acquiring any other good players, over the last 4 years. That was a big selling point with Morgan to us on Hazell. Consulted with an NFL GM who can't figure out you need an OL to protect your QB.
Or Tressel! That was a big selling point with Morgan to us on Hazell. Consulted with an NFL GM who can't figure out you need an OL to protect your QB.
Tiller is all of those things and also pragmatic. He could look at the current makeup of the Big Ten and tell you what might work and what would not.How about if he does talk with Tiller? Tiller is the one coach in recent times who actually cracked the code for Purdue football. I realize he brought an innovative offense and all of his assistants with him, but I also think he was an incredible evaluator of talent. He was able to assess and then land lots of undervalued players. He also made playing football at Purdue fun, which attracted a number of players who had bigger offers.
You need a new coach signed, sealed, and delivered by the end of the season.Tiller is all of those things and also pragmatic. He could look at the current makeup of the Big Ten and tell you what might work and what would not.
Speaking of sweater vest, guess whose show-cause expires on Dec 16?
I have heard rumblings Tiller and Brees were reached out to after Maryland to pick their brains. Maybe act as an intermediaryHow about if he does talk with Tiller? They should be excellent ambassadors for the program, if that is accurate info.I have heard rumblings Tiller and Brees were reached out to after Maryland to pick their brains. Maybe act as an intermediary
If that's the case, its pretty apparent what their advice was!I have heard rumblings Tiller and Brees were reached out to after Maryland to pick their brains. Maybe act as an intermediary
I think the plan was to pan him after Maryland. Ducks in a row with who pays the buyout, who takes over, etc. Then we go pull one out at Illinois and it was put on hold. In that two week span the word is those like Tiller, Brees, and others have talked to the new administration just to give them their ideas and fill him in about the job itself. If that's the case, its pretty apparent what their advice was!
You think the staff was told after Maryland that it was over, and Hazell was out after the next loss? That would explain the emotion after the win.I think the plan was to pan him after Maryland. From what I have heard Maryland was the "wives trip" and the plane ride home was brutal. The meeting was done without staff directly knowing, but I think they heard the noise hence the reaction. You think the staff was told after Maryland that it was over, and Hazell was out after the next loss? Why was the plane ride home brutal? The wives knew the end was near? From what I have heard Maryland was the "wives trip" and the plane ride home was brutal. The meeting was done without staff directly knowing, but I think they heard the noise hence the reaction.
